no it wont. ea signed series exclusivity to microsoft a little while back

Pretty sure it's just exclusivity for the first one.

Pretty sure you're correct. But Respawn have already said that Titanfall will not become a yearly title and it will 2016 or even 2017 before Titanfall 2.

I am hoping to download Titanfall on the 11th from the Xbox one US marketplace. It would be nice to get a few games in before the release date here.

I might be mistaken but I think zampella tweeted that ea had signed the series off as exclusive beyond the first game last month

Nah he said he was disappointed that EA signed off the exclusivity with MS for Titanfall. Not the series. There was talk of a timed release for Titanfall on PS4 but Titanfall (1) won't be coming to PS4 at all.

So any good prices on ordering this for xb1?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,202 ✭✭✭maximoose

£42 on Amazon is the cheapest I've seen it.

Gamepointsnow.com have digital copies advertised for €44.99 - but have yet to confirm if they'll have them on sale by launch time, or if this price is even definite.

Was this not the game that MS were starting off preloading the digital games for?

Psshh. Why release a sequel when you can release 2 new maps every 3 months and get people to pay 20 quid a pop? Much better model. For them obviously....not for us. And this is EA we are talking about. They will nickel and dime for all they are worth. It's what they do best. :P

I'm getting the game for definite but I'm not sure how I feel about the maps coming down the line. I've never bought a map pack. On the PC, they were always free. I feel dirty paying for them and don't want to encourage the model.

Pretty epic leak regarding the rest of the maps. looks like 15 and they seem to have a lot of variety and colour schemes.

So, anyone planing on getting the game digitally from the US. Not sure who this is going to go down and if we will be able to freely download it on the 11th.

I do have a US VPN and can activate it through my router, but I'm hoping that isn't needed and we can just change our locale to US.

Anyone doing this? or have already done this.

    Let me know

I did this for BF4 but had to keep it on US ip to play it as it just locked itself again on local ip

Just saw them posted it on twitter, getting close. It was nice to see some monologue in the trailer, makes me think the sort of campaign they have maybe a little better than originally thought.

They've done all they can to sell it to multiplayer people. They're just making a hand at getting campaign people in. I'm not really going to be getting optimistic on that front.

    FYP :pac:

Ya it's a cool trailer but it in no way represents the game.

If I didn't know about it I'd be thinking I'm buying a single player sci fi campaign.

From what I've read and seen, the campaign story is told through multiplayer fights on maps..or something.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,160 ✭✭✭tok9

You pretty much confirmed my point. It doesn't look like it's multiplayer whatsoever from that trailer.

Guessing only a small % buy a game not knowing anything about it tbh.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

You would be surprised. Parents just pick them out for their kids. People that just see a trailer and go get it. People who go into a store to just browse and pick something out at random. They do still exist.

People like us know everything because we spend time online.....not everyone does. A lot of people internet experience comprises of ebay, amazon, pornhub and facebook. I know plenty who are limited to just that.

Vince Zampella has confirmed that there will be a season pass. TBH I'm a little bit disappointed by this even though I'll probably end up buying it. It would have been nice to see a new IP buck the trend and maybe release a few maps for free further on down the line.
