Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dublin Circuit Court Looking for 14 day warning letter in relation to filing defence?

I act for the Plaintiff. Just rang the Dublin Circuit Court Civil office there to check what documentation they would require from me before I sent in a Notice of Trial and attempted to get the case set down for trial.I rang in because they update the requirements from time to time and I havent sent in a NOT for a while. The whole conversation with the woman who answered was pretty rushed and I distinctly got the impression that she just wanted to get me off the phone.

She mentioned all the usual documents but when I explained that I had already received the defence from the other side she stated that I would still have to send in a 14 day warning letter in relation to filing the defence to the Court. I queried this and she emphasised that it was a "dublin practice direction" and that I would need either the 14 day letter or a consent from the Defendant.Could she be mistaken (or had she misheard me) or is it plausible that I will still have to send in a 14 day warning letter?

Yes, them's the rules in Dublin. Rapid listing, discerning procedure. No letter - no NOT.
