It just highlights the lunacy of having them playing in the SH championship when all their players are based in Europe. It was a terrible idea.

Ah, come on. For years the NH bitched about Argentina having no meaningful competition, then finally when the 3N lets the Argies in, it's a terrible idea?! I assume you're not offering to let them join the 6N?

There's no professional rugby comp in Argentina, as far as I'm aware, so to earn a living they largely headed to France.

I'm anticipating they might be better accommodated once the SXV comp is renegotiated post 2015.

At the end of the day, I think they'd rather put on a good show for the 4N, then front up against a Lions-depleted England when all eyes are on Australia.

I feel your pain on the bet syd...nothing worse than losing an accumulator on the first bet.

Ah I dont mind, nothing major. I'm guesting it won't be the only upset today actually. I think samoa might be 10 points better than italy later so might try to make it back on that one.

If luke donald wins the open il be a very happy man though ;)

Historic win for Japan? have they ever beaten a tier 1 side?

Either way fair play to them!

And to think Samoa don't partake in any Tier 1 competition on a early basis.

Wow Samoa are really a tough side, even though Italy are such an infuriating team to watch, second week in a row they have dominated for large parts of the game only to end up getting a trouncing...if only they had Samoa's backs.

Should be interesting game next week South Africa v Samoa, even though home advantage should see Samoa through.

Fair play to Japan also, really important breakthrough victory for them!

Samoa have been some success story over the past few years. Interestingly they have both Scotland and South Africa in their 2015 World Cup group.

How come the Islanders dont do so well overall? They always seem like they have what it takes to be up there with the best...skill, size, creativity..

Got done over in last world cup with games being very close together and Nigel Owens reffing their match against SA , with Wales in their group made no sense , their team management were also on a jolly over there and took the piss big time, seems to have changed now. Great team love watching them .

I saw the look in their eyes and straight away put money in them to beat the spread.

This its going to be a good one :)

I thought he was sticking around for the Rugby Championship? I might be wrong but it would make sense, he didn't play in it last year. Would be a good sendoff a la Roncero.

Is it usual for the ref to ask the out half what side hes kicking to on a restart?
haven't played in a long time buy of dont remember that being common.

The American commentary for USA v Tonga is pretty funny.

Thought this too. Remember our old coach telling our 10 to spread it both ways to keep the opposition guessing.

I would think sexton switches a fair proportion of the time too.

Its probably for the ref to know hes not going to get in the way, but sure all he had to do its stand off the line

Is that the same ref from the ire v USA game that's now doing the tonga game? He loves scrumtime!
