    Does anyone know anything about the tax saver Luas ticket. I hear you can get up to 52% off a monthly ticket. Is this true and if it is can anyone avail of it?

    It has to be done through your job and the discount is done through revenue. Check out their sites it will explain.

    The table at the bottom of this page shows you how much you'll pay/save. It depends on the rate of tax you pay.

    As you have to go through work anyway, you might look at getting an annual ticket as its probably cheaper than 12 monthly ones (Dublin bus&irish rail annual tickets are the price of ten monthly ones)

    You also save work the hassle of getting a new ticket each month
    And they save on the employers prsi and any pension contribution they may make on the cost of your ticket

    People may prefer the enhanced pension over the tax relief on the ticket.
