Was listening to the radio earlier and there was a lad on talking about tomorrow's business paper and he said the worst thing to do is leave the ABQ til last because it's so demanding  don't know what to do because I was planning on leaving it last!

In the ratios, who is interested in the profitability ratios and who is interested in the liquidity?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭Leaving Cert Student

employees/stakeholders interested in profitability and creditors interested in liquidity I would guess

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Hamza Malik

What is liquidity, I'm not too sure on it. Is it a firms ability to pay its bills as they fall due? What does it mean if a firm is said to be liquid?

It's the ability of a firm to pay its short term debts as they fall due.

I'm pretty sure that's what it means, the ability of a business to pay bills as they fall due. If they are liquid, they have enough money to pay the bills and don't have to rely on short term sources of finance to pay them!

A means of promotion for a business whereby they lay out their shop in an orderly, attractive fashion making it easy for the customer to find what he is looking for and entice him to buy certain products etc.
