Can someone tell me why Law Abiding Citizen the movie with Gerard Butler which was on Channel4 last night was not shown in the ROI.
I am puzzled as hell why it would not let ROI viewers watch it.
It was not a technical fault on the channel or anything, just said not available to ROI viewers.
    Why?????

Something to do with distribution rights maybe? It's on rte tonight.

Tune in the FTA version of Channel 4 and suffer no more from blocked programming

it happened on sky. channel4 blocked irish viewers seeing it, the program summary said "viewing blocked in the ROI", same with channel4 Plus channel, think it was a bit weird, its only a film!

Tune in another variant of Channel4 in Other Chanels and you'll be sorted in the future it's just a rights issue - happens occasionally.

Your TV was valiantly trying to prevent you having to gouge your eyes out because of how unbelievably awful that film is?

Either that or something about rights like the other posters said.
