    Hungry Hog is DZ only.

Just put on a banshee set with as close to or above 400k toughness as you can get and just go for it.

Can you recalibrate mods to roll armour or how does it work?seen a few builds from Marco'a channel but wasn't too sure how he managed to get armour.
Rolled a striker set with armour on all of it except the gloves of course and only got to around 190,000 dps and 250,000 toughness.

You can't recalibrate mods just deconstruct and make new ones.

Get yourself over to W42 street DZ checkpoint or go into the DZ4 mod vendor and buy some nice firearms mods with armor. I think they should still be there.

Is DZ funds the currency used to buy them? If so I'd say I couldn't afford to buy even one :(

    Correct.

You'll have to make some then. Guy downstairs in the terminal had the blueprints last week. Not sure if they're still there.

terminal guy has firearms and stamina this week, doesn't have electronics

A Medved dropped for me while farming Clear Sky tonight. But it only dropped at 163 lol. So that was weird!

Been messing around with the Cassidy lately. Rolled brutal on it and it's own meticulous combined with the one is none talent means that thing can keep shooting for a while. 200rpm with more damage than a super 90 means it can be pretty beast. Tac link is hilarious. The only thing is you cannot afford to miss. I was actually out damaging this sentry sasg guy on clear sky earlier which impressed me.

So if you haven't found a good shotgun yet and think you can handle it, maybe don't sleep on the Cassidy.

So the general consensus is that toughness is best now, forget skill and DPS! Or wha's the storrry now buds?

Ideally just reach a point in the late 3000's for firearms so you can unlock the talents and then just everything else into toughness to try reach 400,000+.

Then a specialised backpack to round up the electronics. Most people use savage gloves again but I prefer a robust chest to get closer to the armour cap.

Well that's the general consensus anyway.

I'm soloing all content apart from incursions with this build.

Apparently there isn't much difference between a well talented M60 and the Hungry Hog with the latter only slightly better.

Nonetheless I tried to get it in the dz but always get ganked by four man groups, its beyond me why the best pve lmg in the game is only attainable in the pvp zone.

I have 3-4 Hogs but all pre patch....will have a gander and see what dmg they are and perks.

Thanx for responses via build lads.

Then just use one in an alpha bridge with the pakhan with swift swapped out for brutal.

That's the best PvE option right there.

I'm in tier 2, are the yellow dudes that appear every 4 hours solo-able?

They should be normally, unless you're badly undergeared.

That's what i got, a pakhan and swapped swift with destructive paired that with an M60 with meticulous. Its PvE melt machine. Meticulous with the M60 is awesome never have to reload, wouldn't leave home without it

Some Of the details so fair.Looks like i got my wish of a proper survival scenario.:D
    1. 2 game modes PvP Survival OR PvE Survival – Groups can meet on the map and help each other but not kill each other in PvE mode
    2. 24 players on the LZ map
    3. WHEN YOU DIE ==> GAME OVER! (you can be revived from the downed state)
    4. hunger, cold mechanics
    5. you are sick and need to extract yourself
    6. you start with a pistol only and with no / bad gear
    7. clothings have a ‘cold’ rating that protect from the blizzard
    8. crafting plays an important role
    9. there are ‘hideouts’ – like apartments (those are not safe house)
    10. there are crafting benches in the hideouts
    11. you need to build a new mask / virus filter when you want to enter the DZ / contaminated zones
    12. on the borders of the map the enemies are weaker and get stronger when you move closer to the center of the map
    13. No need to be L30 to play Survival – Just need access to the BoO
    14. No link to World Tier – every player plays as the same difficulty level (you start with a simple green pistol) and work your way up

while i'm loving the look of it, and think it will be amazing in groups, i wonder how it fits into a looter game. you get gear from the points you accrue, but you can't use it in the game mode next time. it make the rewards irrelevant. you play 3 weeks of this, after 3 weeks it's no easier or different to the first time, how you play is random, you can't try different builds to do it different ways, you don't get to make it easier, there is no rewards for putting time into it.

it's a non looter game mode in the middle of a looter game

The XP you gain doing it will transfer over to your character so you'll be getting field proficiency. You'll also get rewards at the end of each run.

Think of it like the underground.

    it's nothing like the underground:confused::confused:

i understand the rewards you get from it. my point is getting them does nothing to help you on your next run through survival. in the UG, you get a reward, if it is better than what you have, you equip it, and it either makes it easier to do the same content, or allows you to do harder. that's the essence of a looter.

here, if you get absolutely nothing, or an absolute windfall, there is no difference on your next run. you can't try different methods using different, or better builds.

there is no difference playing this whether you have 1 or 100 hours put into it. that's fine, but it's not typical looter style

I was late to the ol' Division party a couple of months ago, got to about level 16 and really enjoyed it but got a bit burnt out and traded the game. Everyone on my friends list playing it was double my level so I was either playing solo or with randomers. Has the new 1.4 changes done anything for level 1-30 gaming or is it more to fix stuff for players who are finished the main game?

Also, that survival mode sounds right up my alley and would tempt me back to it. Must look up some videos of gameplay.

the 1,4 patch was to make the endgame look more like the 1 to 30 experience, which is what everyone loved, so if you didn't enjoy that part then i don't think this is the game for you :)

Hhhmmm shyte :pac: I did enjoy it, think I just tried to rush it to get up to higher levels to play with friends. Think i need to look up some vids of 1.4 in action, see if it appeals to me again :)

Sure you can. Craft a pulse instead of first aid. Head north instead of south. You might find a rifle instead of an smg. Team up with someone or go rogue on them. Bunch of different ways to tackle this as I see it.

Every time you go into the DZ it's a different adventure and I imagine this will be something of the same, but more fair.

I think starting from scratch each time will do wonders for the PvP. At least here you won't load in and immediately get ganked by 4 flame turrets.

It should have been PvP only though, IMO. PvE Survival sucks all the tension/excitement out of it.

I don't think this game is typical anything. Massive have shown themselves to be a jack of all trades but master of none.

It actually is. I barely lasted 15 mins on my first attempt. There's no map or other niceties. You can only last 2 to 3 minutes in the cold at first, and shelter is somewhat sparse. So you're dodging from one hot spot to another, quicly grabbing anything you can on the way between them.

It's a very different take on the base game.

Whereas underground was just a set of tunnels to grind through, this is more akin to a total mod of the game.

Sounds interesting, like they've taken pages from the survival guide and they're making you play as a civilian dweeb. That's a good call and it shows that for all the balancing problems, the game lore has a lot of potential depth and scope to it; the next division game could be something completely different...

    I'm so mad.

I made it all the way to DZ05 extraction to where the cure was or whatever only to be hit in the back by two bat guys that somehow followed me up without my knowledge. Managed to kill them only to be sniped by a heavy on the other side of the landing pad.

I died right in front of the objective box.

I had actually managed to craft all the top pieces of clothing with a gold SVD and found purple gear on the grave of some poor bastard that didn't make it. All I had to do was grab the cure and extract grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. And to make matters worse I didn't even get to see my score because I crashed as the servers went down.

All in all it's a very impressive mode and completely different. Haven't had such an engaging experience in quite a while.

When you tried to extract a hunter would've turned up, and stood a good change of making a mess of things.
