Solo on challenging? Solo with mixed gear? Speed runs in a group are boring beyond belief, but there ways to change it up.

Solo is totally doable...BUT why would you want to? It will just take 3-4 times as long, I still cant believe in the basement when the 3rd wave comes why people stand and fight instead of running by and hitting the laptop wait in the room and run up the stairs.

Shaves even more time off the mission. And dont kill barrett until the 1st wave is down, then kill her and the 2nd wave comes out.....otherwise there are NPCs all over the shop and takes longer.

I am starting to absolutely detest that ballistic shield build all the ****in clowns do is run infront of everyone and block the damage being done, when I flank to get the shots in they move again. This is the majority of the people using the build.

Think you've answered your own question about why anyone would want to solo it there!

yeah, i can't get why people run it over and over endlessly. solo at least adds a challenge. why on earth run it over and over again, no challenge, no reward, rinse repeat. it's one thing to do it after a new gearscore comes out to gear up, but when people run it once they have gear i cannot understand it.

soloing messing around with gear sets at least adds some variety. endless lex with an AB setup makes me just wonder why

Me I am running a DeadEye at the moment and having great fun with it but its a bit specialist and its a bit of a glass cannon only at 315k toughness. Its a team build where I sit back and and up high with my M700 Carbon and take rogues on from distance putting out 70-100k to other agents one or two shots normally does it with your team mates doing the coup de grais :D put a couple down today and a few friendlies :o that got in our way..(elite NPCs average hit is 500-600k) makes a change from my AB

Optimized my deadeye build over the weekend and got one or two pieces that let me fully invest in firearms, I had a backpack with electronics:rolleyes:

Anyway running a m700 with prepared, deadly and elevated, just managed to test it out today on a few rogues and got good results :) I was solo but if I was in a team I reckon I would be able to wreck even more, all these kills were in the space of 30 mins could have gotten one or two more but had to reload just at the wrong time to get the "coup de grais"

I admit I have run it a hell of alot, for a start to get 1 Barretts chest but I have run it so much now I use it as a barometer for a new build see how strong it is. Others is with lads off here to get them some good gear and then I give them all mine aswell so they get good gear quicker.

The other day I had no striker gear apart from 1 piece and wanted it again, 3 runs later I had a full set!

I have only got 2 chest pieces out of all the times I have run it, but for some reason I do get a hell of alot of gear dropped during it and at the end without wearing gear for higher rewards.

just it level 30,, I got to level 20 about 8 months ago and then gave up on the game, went back just after christmas and the game really opens up when you hit level 30........

Lads, im still a bit lost. Lvl 30 character with 383k DPS, 449k Tough and 105k elec. Im using 3 different piece of gear different gear sets and other high end items. What do I need to do to gt even higher stats or is there a cap on the numbers?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

Messing round with my D3-FNC build and improved DPS, Health and Armour mitigation but ammo capacity reduced by about 40%. This kind of stuff drives me bezerk.

Spending more and more time deleting stuff from stash. At this point I'm throwing out guns with lower damage and gear sets with lower amour and hardly worrying about perks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,013 ✭✭✭✭Wonda-Boy

When you are struggling to improve stuff you already have you know you are doing something right. You get to a certain level and then its hard to cap that as you are quite high already, it is then you start to pour money and PC (pheonix credits) into builds. Calibrating them and the like....

Ammo capacity is the least of your worries mate, you very rarely run out of ammo in a mission (underground excluded)

You are better off with great perks over damage, try to equip weapons that give you deffo damage boost over the possibility/chance of damage. As in (depending on play style and build) I always go for +10 damage perk over critical hit chance for instance.

On my alpha bridge build I have 5 really aggressive perks and one defensive, only one of them is a chance perk. I am getting something like 40% extra damage before I fire a bullet.

Don't know if you know this, or maybe its been nerfed, but Police bag + medic bag from the dlc rewards vendor give an extra medikit and extra ammo when you refill, keep 2 lone stars for 100% extra ammo with you for rearming too, after refilling, just switch back. There are mods that give approx, 8% extra ammo too, which you can add to the lonestar for extra ammo.

I'm back playing after a long time out, so things may have certainly changed.

been playing with D3-FNC set as well, way overpowered, basically can wander solo around D6 in WT5, take out all bosses, bullet and fireproof, apart from 4man gank squads am invincible. Found focusing on the gun and the overall damage you deal out makes all the difference with the set, use the pp-19 for its large mag and the mp5 variant which allows large attachments for headshot damage. your'man Skill Up did a video on the set.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

Yeah I'm using the PP19 with 109 bullets in the mag. Tried using the MP7 and MP5 but the size of the magazine on the PP19 is just too advantageous. My DPS is very low but the build lets you just pour constant headshots into the PvE enemies, it absolutely melts.
Increased the SMG damage on some of the Gear, (have armour I think on the four slots) seems to have made a difference. I'd love to have gotten the perk that makes you do more damage up close but rolled Brutal (if Brutal's the one that damages enemy shields) and don't want to change it.
Performance perk is giving 7.5% ballistic shield health.

Anyone know a good high end sealed cache route in the dark zone to get dz funds quickly. Was playing solo last night with the banshee set just in case. Managed to get about 90,000 from finding purple and a few high end from roaming around the underground by the refuelling station which took about and hour and half while trying to avoid players and rogues.

Last Stand brings a new instanced competitive mode to the cover-based looter shooter, where two teams of eight players fight one another on a small chunk of the Dark Zone over control of three terminals. It sounds like a traditional competitive control point mode, where the more points you hold, the quicker you'll transfer "information" to meet a score goal. First to get there, or the highest within the 20 minute match limit, wins.

No consequence PVP gaming, thats not a bad idea tbh.

I couldn't really make out whether everyone is on the same playing field in terms of health and damage output from reading the blog.

Players are match made based on gear score, and some kind of recent play history algorithm. So there shouldn't be massive gulfs between them.

its more than that. they talked about normalizing stats among players so if you spec heavily into firearms for example your health and electronics will be normalized against other players who specced into firearms. or they could normalize everything, all 3 stats

you'll still have whatever respective talents etc on guns but it takes out the variances of min maxing

I had a great three player (randoms) run last night in the DZ. A lot iof fun. I have a lot of set pieces but they dont seem to improve my over all stats from when im wearing random gear...

    1. Yes
    2. I'd worry about that when you get to lvl30
    3. I would say yes but I brought it about 15 minutes in when it first came out

Season Pass is worth it for Survival alone imho, have only levelled up to 30 the other day so only had one run on Underground, but Survival you can play anytime

why? your gear score etc doesn't make a blind bit of difference in survival..plus you're missing the best mode of the division.

Is just that If I start into Survival ill probally not do any more Underground stuff..

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,013 ✭✭✭✭Wonda-Boy

Underground is great for farming but the matchmaking is a pain in the arse and getting random people to last 3 phases can be tough. Also its a long long slog to rank up down there.....

?is that that the m700 at the special equipment vendor? very low headshot bonus, fierce determined(can't unlock without high electronics) and elevated..iif that is the one i think there is a pretty good reason he didn't mention it, it's rubbish!!

or is there another one somewhere else?

Have high electronics from my fire crest build so can easily unlock them. You can make up the headshot damage from the suppressor and 12x Scope I mentioned, and it had better headshot damage then my other M700. Already have a standard m700 with with 170 odd headshot damage but the tactical is more customisable.

What are good talents to be looking for on M700?
