Hows the whole matchmaking works? I tried once in daily mission and couldn't get anyone to join and I tried underground normal and same thing. No one to connect to.
Does your world tier effect it too? Or people just dont matchmake for daily dungoens and underground?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

yeah any world other than WT5 is probably thinly populated so I imagine it may be hard to match make. It matches you up pretty quick in WT5.
Just playing Underground with 3 randoms, dropped them a classified reclaimer and exotic. Got a friends request but they only want me for my stuff. :) Probably very few doing normal in UG as well.

I am gear score 271 right now. Using ACR. Found 278 m4 lightweight, but cant get any of the talents activated. No full set of anything too. All random normal set pieces.
I kind of playing solo underground and hunting high value targets. What could I start now to do in groups? I heard a lot bout resistance too. Wjere do you go for that?

Resistance can be started from Camp Clinton or entering the areas on the West Side Pier.

271 makes you WT5 viable. Do some daily challenging missions. I ran some legendries with 270s earlier (it was awful) but we got through it Resistance would be tough solo and it's terrible with randoms unless they're miked and even then it's a coin toss. I'd be looking to legendries and incursions now but you hate being carried. Have to learn somehow :)
What you really need is a ninja back pack and then wait for the next Global Event to build a classified set.
There's a really good M700 carbon in the meat locker. 284 -deadly, prepared and elevated. 167% headshot dmg. Grindhouse has a great extended mag 120.5 capacity, 3% crit chance and 4% crit damage

Been playing Dragons Nest about a month, probably ran it 15-20 times. Most people group up at the far left of the end room. Easy stuff. Nomad run this weekend and I was standing by the final switch so I hit it. No tank drops. ? . Thought we just had to mop up enemies but it keeps going and some dude keeps dying over the other side of the room. Get him up a few times. Still going on.
Dude mikes up, US high pitched screaming "Hit the other switch!!!" Couldn't stop laughing. I thought there was only one final switch. Makes sense there's two now I think of it.

I dont like to be carried when I am just sitting there and wait. Like if I would get carried high level stuff while I am gear score 15 :pac: I am 272 now and I hope I wouldnt be just a burden. Problem is I cant get anyone in matchmaking. Any activity I try I just wait for ages and give up. I know player base is small, but cant be that bad on xbox one?

And I had my two "first" today.

So for the first time I got an Axe in to my face. Yup, those hunters. **** them. Second time I met them, I kept my distance, killed one and the other one just rushed me. If you dont have a weapon to kill them in one clip, you are ****ed.
And I got my first Nerdrage quit. It was so bad, that I just turned off console and went to shop to buy Groceries, which I planed to do tomorrow. As I mentioned I cant get anyone to play with me, so I try solo stuff. Doing Hard Underground is my thing. Sometimes I do them okay, sometimes I struggle, but always finish those. Not today... Got to the last bit where I needed to defend Npc. Its such a small room and they spawn from everywhere. Who ever made Shotgun Rikers has a special place in Hell. Died so many times and just got super pissed off.

It's weird about the matchmaking. Are you on WT5? I have no issue matchmaking dailies, UG, legendries or Incursions on PS4. You wouldn't be a burden @ 272. I did Napalm with a 287 and 2 low 270 characters. It was the 287 that was getting us into trouble constantly.

tbh game can be rage inducing, it's one of the reasons I don't mike up with randoms as the crap I say can be mental.

Hunters are generally pretty easy in UG. They can get the drop on you occasionally but what I generally do in any room is find a good place to hold them off before killing the last baddie, so if they do come in I know where I need to be. Generally if the travel marker doesn't come up pretty soon after the last death I'm running to that spot. If I don't have my shield build I always run with a flashy stick-bomb, which has saved me several times.
Where you really get in trouble is in a group of four, when team mates start dying you can get overwhelmed very easy. (It's always the other guy's fault)

I only have the game over a month on PS4 and had no problem matchmaking through all of the story and now in world tier 5.

I didn't have a clue what those hunters were until I came across them last night. Just finishing the final part of a 3 phase UG mission and they all popped out, I got a belt of an axe across the head but thankfully the lads in my squad could get them. I actually started thinking that they were other players online because their movement and actions are nothing like any of the other AI. Rolling around everywhere and healing themselves, it was mental. I got a nice classified gear piece and an exotic gun from them though.

Have drops/crafted stuff went down in GS since the last update?

Nearly everything I've gotten or crafted since that have been well under my GS.
Cleared out all the LZ bosses and only got 1 piece of gear that was over 275.
    Crafting LW M4's; 260-267-259-260-260

I have my stash cleared out and all gear is 275 at a minimum but still get ****ty drops.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

Nice I wasn't sure they dropped classifieds. It's a pity low drop rate though you did well to get an and an exotic out of them.
Someone posted on Reddit that it would be good if you could get exotics and classifieds out of chests behind locked doors. I said I'd gotten midas out of one in the UG. Got Skulls MC Gloves from one then last week.

I've not being paying attention to GS as you can optimise everything anyway. If I get a gun I like with good talents I'll just pump div tech into it. Plus I automatically thrash most stuff.

Saying that noticed that my D3FNC gloves stamina is only 1300, this was after I put 100-150 into them and stam was only increasing +7 at a time. This would have cost another 650+ div tech to optimise. The only other gloves I could roll with the proper perks had 1350 stam. Still not great but swapped them out and started on them.

I'm on the hunt for a Lightweight M4 and The House, and I've only had one Lightweight M4 drop since I've got to level 30. They must have dropped the rate of finding these since everyone is using them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I've had six houses and given away two. Two are in my stash unused. I really need to optimise them as one in particular is actually quite good as it has deadly. The other one really annoys me, it's got competent and some other perk that needs 3800 electronics to unlock. Already have a house on my electronics character.

I keep thinking I'm coming to the end and still find myself running 12 legendries and 8 incursions a week. Currently maxing my four main characters nomad, d3fnc, predator's and reclaimer. I've a horrible feeling once I do this I'm going to start in on another four. Actually now I think of it my main (nomad) is done
I generally just give any stuff I get to the randoms I'm playing with unless it's real thrash and they think I'm taking the piff or real good in which case it's mine.

  • Registered Users Posts: 954 ✭✭✭PaddyBomb

I'm currently running a 4 piece striker and on the hunt for classifieds and nomads. I don't think any of the other gear sets interest me from what I'm reading.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I have a six piece striker on my main. It is very good. Doubtful it is properly rolled as I missed that global event so I wasn't swimming in striker classifieds like with some of the other sets.

I've always liked being a healer so reclaimer suits me. Plus the pulse is insane. D3FNC is a solid set for PvE and predator's mark can be savage in certain situations. I'd really like to get a lone star but that might be because it's the only one I don't have. I'm not a good sniper so Sentry, Hunter's Faith and DeadEye don't really interest me. Final Measure looks interesting but haven't built it. Banshee seems to be very PvP and haven't built it. Tactician and Firecrest suffer from being electronics focused and I'm reluctant to swap out reclaimer.
Really liking nomad since I dumped almost everything into firearms.

Right, finally managed do to some multiplayer. Resistance is very fast to get grpup. Did a few and failed around 9 wave. But its fun.

Another good mews is that I finally got my first 4 pieces for set. Its Predator set. Havent tested it properly yet, but its good. Its a shame I had to lose 2 piece Nomad to have it working.

Really want a full set of D3, Reclaimer and Nomad now.

Btw whats the point of doing new characters? There is no stats or permanent skills? You could just do loadouts? Or am I missing something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

4 piece classified? It's really the sixth piece that gives it the extra damage and annoys people. Still progress is always good. If you open the chest in Resistance you have a 57% chance of an exotic or classified piece.

The reason I have new characters is so I can run more end game stuff weekly. There's three legendary missions and 4 Incursions that grant an exotic cache. You can run them once a week but once a week X 4 with more characters. It also gives you room to store more stuff, although you don't need to full max out your character to do so.

On my reclaimer all my guns are specced to electronics so I can throw tactician and firecrest there too. The other sets are more interchangeable.

Lol, its not classified, its normal. I am still a baby, remember? Its still progress for me as,you said.

What chest do you mean? Just those from reaching a wave or in map it self?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

yeah I realised it as soon I sent it. it's really the global events you need for classified gear.
there are various chests in resistance. The one in Pier 93 for example you can easily open it by round nine, provided you farm it correctly. There are certain doors you need to open and certain rounds you want to prolong so you can farm the currency for it. You haven't a hope doing it with randoms who don't know what they are doing but it's probably the best way of getting exotics and classifieds outside of the GEs.
Resistance with randoms is my nails on chalkboard scenario.

I had one run that was really good. We went up to 15 and were on the boss, but for some reason it just randomly failed. Was great party. I just play that carrier one. Getting in to the actial things needed to do.

For some reason I got kicked on wave 5, by some elites with level 290 or something. I have no clue what did I do wrong. I didn't rushed to open door. I ran with them to that objective when few seconds were left on timer. Then on wave 5 I was hammering boss and got kicked... I was third in the party too, not dead beat last.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

Don't worry about getting kicked, I got kicked this weekend from an Incursion for no reason. Could be trying to get in one of their mates or just a dckhead move.
You can run out of time on the boss levels.

I've been having great fun on my vacation in Monster Hunter land. I see no need to come back to New York any time soon.

Apparently SOTG this week is actually going to have some news.

I won't hold my breath though.

Jesus, collecting the intel and story bits does get you the caches pretty quick, getting all sorts of tasty loots:D

I might add ive loads of it peft to get as if it wasnt easy to grab en route i wasnt bothering, might actually pay off now!

So I've been off work the last few days and have go my Agent up to level 19. Was just wondering when does the purple lewts start to drop. Blues are most common now but all fairly crap.

Only option for legendary stuff is from specialised weapons vendor. I'm using an assault rifle as primary and he has a nice one but costs cost of my credits to get (but give a nice DMG boost over current AR).

Is money easier to come by at later stages? I'm wary about spending nearly everything on one gun. Or should purple drops start appearing anytime soon.

I wouldn't be too attached to anything until you hit level 30 as you'll probably scrap most of it at that stage.

I've about 25mil in credits ish, some of the lads have a lot more, so yes money gets easier to come by as you don't use it for much in the endgame
