4 piece dead eye is actually quite good. I'm not sure how to build it properly but you can do serious damage with it although you yourself will be quite squishy.
Yeah I didn't like all the reloading with the Cassidy but in a lone star build specced for shotguns it can be devastating, I believe.
I'm really not sure about the Rhino, I heard it as a rumour and there's certainly some mechanics that make the npcs focus on a particular player, which is particularly noticeable in resistance. Can't imagine this is one of them though.

It's to do with the threat level on the gun I believe.
some of the attachments have increased threat level or that.
I know because one of mine has a muzzle brake with this and they swarm to me :)

also I will no longer abide by any dissing of the marvellous shield. It's a defensive talent. There's nearly always somewhere in a mission you can retreat to for safety, the number of times the marvellous shield has allowed me to retreat to said safe position and heal is uncountable (well probably hundreds of times). Use in conjunction with the support station which you can explode (by pressing whatever button you have it assigned to again) for a burst heal, to yourself and the shield.

Probably didn't help that I had a habit of accidentally double tapping the button when deploying the shield leading me to think 'thank fook I just got shield out in time' ..... and then throwing it on the ground and getting killed. Either way its been replaced with Overdose thingy which I have not a clue how to use.

Got past Lexington level earlier. Gave up on going solo, went with 2 randoms and did it on third try. Really helps not being the only focus of attack for the guards. I took out snipers while other two occupied guards, creamed the guards together then and yer wan wasn't too hard after that.

Invested in better gear too. Gave up on dismantling guns as someone had suggested earlier (Shadow I think). Accumulated a nice bit of cash from the hoard of sh!te I was carrying around and treated myself to my first purple bit of gear and a weapon.

I will just say this: who ever designed Rikers shotgun npc, has a special place in hell. I hate them with passion.
Believe it or not, there is a wave in resistance that consists only of riker shotgun dudes. Thats is wave 17 and thats the furthest I ever sow resistance content. Its just stupid how they can mince you.

Definitely the most annoying NPC in the game. All you can do is take cover and hope to fook you don't have to reload before you down them. They have a habit of appearing out of nowhere too.

Could I introduce you to my old friend, Mr. 1.3 Heroic Underground Shotgunner?

He doesn't need to chase you, he just one-shots you from the next room, through the wall.

One of the bosses on Napalm legendary has a gun (It might be an MDR) which puts bleed on you that can kill you across the room before you know what's happening. He gets my vote but I haven't done Stolen Signal and the end boss there is a right git.

That's Redback with the SVD. You can tell by the ka-thunk - ka-thunk sound. People always talk about Widow in that fight. But he's the REAL problem IMO.

    Ah yes, Bobcat.

He wields a super 90 which after he reaches a certain damage threshold, will fire off it's ENTIRE mag in 1 SECOND as he activates survivor link. Imagine a 1000rpm super 90. It is literally a hack they programmed in just for him.

And he will do this 3 times during the fight. Any full health shield will be immediately destroyed.

There's a lot of small, simple, but very welcome changes there. I note they reversed course on the season pass drops, which they said they wouldn't touch previously.

After droping off my ratty to school, I had some time before leaving to work. Obviously Division was fired up. :pac:

Must be my lucky morning. On first 9 wave run I got two exotics. Sidearm for liberator and Cerebus or something? An assault rifle which heals on crits you and party. Should be really good for reclaimer?
Thats not all, got few normal missing pieces for D3 and reclaimer. So I can make 4 piece sets of those. Had **** all time, but threw together 4 x D3 and 2 x Nomad build fast. Only got it to 8.5k stamina though. Gave it a fast wee go as solo resistance and west piere. I came to conclusion that D3 even normal is Op as ****. Love it!!! When I have time I will try to see if I can push to 9k stamina and maybe find better smg.

D3FNC has always been one of my favourites. Most people will run it with a house if they have one but I've always used the PP19. It has over 100 bullets in an extended mag, use the precision and one is none perks and you just plant yourself in front of the enemy and unload the clip into their head.

You really only need 9000 stamina for the classified six piece as it's the 6th piece that utilises the 9k stam. You need skill power at 120-125K (or as close to 120k as you can) which feeds into the shield health.

Most builds I see use the shield ballistic health performance mods but I equipped the 4% shield damage mods which gives you extra damage on anything, once the shield is equipped. My shield is so tanky as it is I don't feel the extra shield health is as beneficial.

My set is very much PvE so everything is stacked towards damage to elites and enemy armour damage although I'll accept crit damage and chance also.

You mean Caduceus. Used to be a good match for an electronics build historically.

I was kind of aiming for 9k to get that 3k stack bonus 3 times. Do I better stay at two stacks and throw some in to electronics instead? All of mine upgrade slots are pretty much stam. One is electronics and one attack to get one talent to work on my smg.

That talent, which has 25% to fill up clip if you lill someone is super handy with D3. Nomad 2 piece bonus is solid too.

Would I be any help in resistance with this low non classified D3 build? I use predator 4 and striker 2 for it, but I feel that I would be more benefitial as a tank. Any game where I had dude with D3 was so much easier. If you got D3 and reclaimer then its just porn.
I will have a few days off after saturday, so might try and do reclaimer set for resistace. Any prefered stats with that? Or balance between electronics and stamina? Full electronics feels like a suicide.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I have two defence loadouts. A 6k stam and E9K stam with everything else into FA. I only use the 9K one. That 3K stack bonus only works on a six piece classified set. There's no harm building towards it but it won't work until you have all 6 classys.

Yeah I know the perk you are talking about swift I think it's called. I never use anything outside my comfort zone but I'd say swift would work really well with the D3. D3 works very well in resistance.

Building reclaimer, again a full 6 classified is very different than a 4 piece. The last piece gives +100% healing speed which is just insane. I put +7.5% range on all the performance mods. When I put down the box the whole place turns green. On the six piece I had 10K electronics before I realised I was only being ridiculous. I cut it down to 9K and put the rest into FA. Hardest part is finding gun talents as you have no stam or FA. Talented and competent are the only two decent ones I can find. You're really hoping for something good in the free third slot.

    Cheers again.

I will redo mods to load up more electronics and beef up my shield.

I presume healing station is still a go second skill? Thought for solo bullet one, instead of revive?
By the way, when you running, shield is put away and it regenerates health? Is that right?

If you can spec extra ammo into our gear then use the Immuniser health station. There are plenty of ammo spots in the WSP/Missions etc. where you are likely to need it more and shrugging off elemental damage is a huge lifesaver, more for you ability to keep firing through it than actual damage reduction. For SHD tech station events it's pretty much a must. I've never found the auto-revive useful tbh, if I don't have time to crawl to the station for a direct revive I most likely don't have time to wait for that mod to do it at range.

I've only used D3F a bit but I don't think it matches well with a healing station, First Aid is probably a better fit for most situations. Afaik the shield heals over time including when you're running.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I think the immuniser is the best second skill. If you burst it, it should do more healing than first aid and you have immunity from status effects as Creed says. Although the shield itself also provides some defence to status effects. You're never going to get a lot of heal because your skill-power is still kind of low around 120k. Auto - revive is only useful if you are throwing it a someone that doesn't know you can revive yourself with the other two anyway. I would use the bullet one in resistance but it's handy rather than essential.

You will find a lot of stuff you won't need the box but I always like having a back up recurring source of health.

The six piece (and I think 4 piece) has native heal if you are not taking damage.

Indeed. The original exotic you could say. It was good for everything really.

And it had quite the resurgence when AlphaBridge came around. People discovered you could pair it with a G36 and have 100% uptime on your skills. Booster shot in smart cover + alpha caddy meant you could be more or less invincible. They were heady times.

    Oh dear.

Need to stop playing. Had only intended to for a few hours tonight..well yesterday. Was ready to stop at about midnight but after an awesome Underground session (Challenging, a few inhibitors but trying the horrible electro for the first time, 2 phase, last part was 50% or so Shield Gunners, ran out of AR ammo (1700 or so), halfway down my MR ammo count, 15 mins battle and as I turn the exit door Hunters....fkn class! brilliantly challenging.). This led to a few hours in the DZ, and only one encounter with another player up north which went well (i.e. he wasn't a dick with 3 other mates who shot me in the back of the noggin). I don't care about the loot I just like the dark real estate. Anyway, bloody brilliant session, for WAY too log.

Ran 3 lengendary missions there with 3 separate random groups and my main. Went unbelievably well. Tore through them. On Napalm we pushed the final 4 shield guys out the gates. Boss round incredibly easy, never seen it so easy. Think it's partly 'cos randoms are getting better gear. Times Square GS on team was 291,291,289 and 285.

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

Played last night and RBG gods that looked after me in the morning, completely turned their backs on me.
After few resistance runs I came out with pretty much nothing. Well, I got my third exotic scar. That Johnadae yolk. :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

greatest falcons lost ever. my underpowered bro at back of map sniping, me on right with bomb, two randoms on left, one gets dead, we took too long & next wave gets triggered, I'm solo fighting everything , see last guy on left retreating, start screaming "HITHHESWITCHHITTHESWITCH" guy turns round hits switch ,I'm getting pasted by shotgunners but have survivor link, hit it and run. Get to apc, other random dies, I die,
But bomb got planted. My poor underpowered brother
I'm roaring at him "stay alive" he's getting rushed, it's frightening and then,

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

On my first run today I got Big Alejantro. Again, sorry for spelling. It gave me a chance to make 4 piece lone star set.
I am in love! So much, that I deleted my predator set and went for that.

Currently running it as arms and stamina hybrid as I dont know proper build for it. Tempting to swap two item bonus Nomad for striker. 20% stability would be freaking sweet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

So I broke my golden rule. NEVER play resistance with randoms. I'm drinking what the hell, play carrier, which I don't know. Join. Everyone waves, I look at them apprehensively.
    Contaminationround.
I'm looking at a guy saying don't go down, we can't get you up. He goes down. They're all down
At the very start of contamination.
The next seven to ten minutes, were just instinct.
Lot of screaming, sorry neighbours. Went to the medic box twice. Kept saying I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead" procced nomad at least 7 times. I'm going to die
    There's 5 enemy's left
    I believe (ha ha)
There's 3 enemies left (heart pumping 'cos I really do believe now, I was joking earlier)
    There's one enemy left

Should have finished my resistance story on a cautionary note. Very next round died trying to revive two teammates, didn't even open the chest. Serves me right playing resistance with randoms.

Falcon's Lost is a noob magnet. Lot of the time people don't know what to do. Love trying to carry a team. On my reclaimer this week I had to solo plant the bomb twice, which wasn't amusing with 320K toughness. Last run waited too long in the folorn hope someone would turn off the other cannon. Another enemy wave triggered. Got the bomb planted but got killed by an LMG npc, who then blew up my box.
Of course by this stage my other teammates were fully dead. Ended up on my hands and knees trying to keep a crate between me and the npc while the timer ticked down.
Should mention I put determined on my reclaimer guns. Getting your super back super fast is awesome. I've now changed to the damage super when doing anything where I don't need to constantly revive team mates.

    New Classified Caches
During Global Events – Targeted classified gear set caches will be available. Each event will have 4 caches available for purchase containing the event’s corresponding sets.
Off season – A classified cache will be available for purchase, containing a guaranteed classified drop. It will be priced at 2500 phoenix credits and will not be limited to Global Events.

This is going to be interesting. A good team running Clear Sky can easily hit the phoenix credits limit quickly.

I don't necessarily think this will be a bad thing since everyone will be on equal footing (eventually) but it will quickly remove the need to "chase" after something. Once you're running God Roll Strikers / Nomads; What else is there left to do?

Yeah that's the thing, once you have everything, what's the point? Still I'm in the phase where I want everything so, am happy for now. I optimised a second set of gloves for my main character so now have two identical nomad load outs except one has M4 gloves and the other has House gloves.
I just need to accept I have a problem.
