    2fm on twitter & lockdown have both bern talking up a suppposed huge announcement on friday..
    If lockdown are excited it's definitely something rock..

    Lockdown seem to be making an announcement at 5pm tomorrow while 2FM are plugging a Friday announcement!!

    Lockdoen have said they have an.anouncement first and both are saying its massive..

    Have they said that the announcement is about that weekend? I really can't see them announcing something major at this late stage. I reckon it must have been an Oxegen backup. Considering all the work that would go into organising a second major event and the high liklihood that whatever it is won't sell out, it wouldn't be worth it for MCD.

    If it is a Festival then they better have some bands that can easily pull a crowd within a few weeks . They would want a near copy of Reading and Leeds (prob a smaller scale though) to get a decent turn out

    Yep, also possible. Could go either way but you would imagine if it's a seriously big announcement that MCD would also be building up the hype via twitter/facebook like they always do.

    Hard to believe that the likes of Green Day or Muse etc would be announced by Lockdown (with all respect). MCD would be the larger platform to announce from!!

    Lockdown announced All time low first last year. They wete also MCD's partners for Slam Dunk Ireland. It also takes place in the Academy(mcd owned venue)

    With 2fm to make an announcement fridy(a big one too), its presumably the same. Let lockdown let the big fans know on thursday, then announce it fully friday morning.
