    Heya,

I just moved to cork and need a garage to service and repair my Seat Toledo Diesel 2002.

Most certainly I will need brake pads, springs replaced, as well as my cooler is leaking so need that fixed too.

As I am a bit short on cash atm, does anyone know any decent but reasonably priced garages in or around the city? Would appreciate any advice and if anyone could give an estimate on the total pricing for mentioned repairs.

    Thanks a lot

I'd recommend Ardfallen Motorcare for your car. They are VAG/ German car specialists and they are known to be very reasonable.

Do you mean strut springs? What happened to them? I didn't think springs were a fault on these cars. And your intercooler? This could be anything from a perished hose to a damaged unit so your guess is as good as mine.

Not sure what happened to them, my guess is that just the age and *****y roads... The car is all squeaky when going up/down the hill or over road bumps.

Regarding leaking, a mechanic tried to figure out where it is leaking from a couple of months ago but couldn't. So not sure yet... I keep topping up water from time to time and it seems fine, but would like to fix it so won't have this problem.

Thank for your advice about the garage

Sounds like you need to get there sooner rather than later! Best of luck with it.

You could try John Coughlan on Togher Road,,or John Flood on Stephen Street.

Both are Indie mechanics,,so you won't be robbed.

As for the parts,,you have a choice of Motor Factors around the City, and they may help towards keeping your costs low.

And,,as pointed out above,,with water leaks,,it's best to get it seen to sooner rather than later.

Probably not the springs you need to change, probably wishbones or something.
