Guys,
just had this great little gadget in at a really basement price which we will do with reduced delivery for Boardies!
Its by Gear4 and it's called the Unity remote ( doesn't include the iPAD - just the roundy thing behind it!)
Its just £29.95 / €34.99 with Boardie delivery at just £4.99/ € (RRP was £79.95!)
The Gear4 Unity lets you take remote control of your whole room with your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch!
Put simply, you can now use your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch as the remote control for any device within your room. At the Interface end is an app giving you access to effortless and comprehensive control. Signals are received by Bluetooth to a 360 blaster. This compact receiver/transmitter takes the Bluetooth signal from the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch and fires out the signal via five Infra-Red devices - creating a 360 degree spread. What this means is that anything in the room with a sensor is in range! The blaster is discreet and operated by batteries, meaning that it can be placed anywhere in the room without wires.
Operating the remote is easy. Simply select the App and then choose a unified action such as, "watch TV". From here the remote will activate a series of commands in a macro function to get exactly what you want at the touch of a button. What makes the macro function especially useful is the unify menu. This allows you to see the exact order of command and make adjustments to the menu. Once selected, your iPad's, iPhone's or iPod Touch's screen shows a unified selection of controls from various components. You might, for example, have the basic Blu-ray functions with volume from the TV - the perfect combination! Once you're up and running, the gesture settings mean that you can change volume or channels simply by swiping the screen. You select the command and what the gesture should be - slide up/down or left/right.
Now designed to work with the Apple iPad, you can enjoy the luxury of a tablet sized remote with an extremely clear and comprehensive display, whilst continuing to use your iPhone to make calls with.
