Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    19:45 Dundalk ? - ? St. Patricks
    20:00 Shamrock Rovers ? - ? Limerick

Tought game for us, Dundalk the last team to beat us and our away record is (actually identical to theirs) pretty decent Won 7 Drew 0 Lost 1 F12 A 4.

Expecting a decent game, shame i wont make it :(

Huge, huge game between us and Shels. Both teams will be looking for the win, though a draw suits us much better. Been looking forward to it all week. Point against Sligo means nothing if we lose tomorrow.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Lot of vital games for teams heading into the break, ours away to Bray no different.

A win will keep us in touch at the top.

This could be horribly placed overconfidence, but I think the 11/4 on us is value.

if shels and bohs joined forces they would be 6th.

    Shelhemians
    Bohbourne
    Northside knacks

    heh

    heh

If Pats and Rovers joined forces, how many cups would there be...I mean the ones, not won by Rovers?

    heh

    ;)

    Cups are over rated tbh.

Then what's the point in competing?

Huge game tonight. About two weeks ago, I'd have taken a draw but given the Sligo result last weekend, I'm slightly more expectant of a win tonight.

Nothing to look forward to at the Cross tonight.

Going to be lashing rain and the team is a shambles.

They are a team of Guntars Silagailiss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Should be a cracker in Oriel tonight. Two teams who like to keep the ball on the ground. After Monday nights away win in Drogheda confidence is high in town and I reckon we may get over 2000 people through the gates this evening which would be great.

We beat Pats in their place in April but for some reason Killian Brennan didn't start that night. We were the better team in the first half but when Brennan came on in the second half they played much better. He seems to be in great form at the minute so hopefully Kenny has a plan to keep him quiet. A win and we're just six points behind Pats with a game in hand. Some turnaround in fairness from a year ago.

Huge game for us tonight, to say I'm gicking it is an underestimation.

    Extratime.ie have him as doubtful.

Hope, he will make it somehow. I think, he improved quite a lot recently.

Bohs can afford to lose tonight, Shels really can't.

Better stop raining in Cork if they want my money. Don't fancy getting wet before game even begins.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

If Rovers play like they did in Cork, they should have enough to sneak over the line after defending frantically late on again.

The floodgates over Dublin are open as well. Lovely day for a decent football match that is :o

The McDonnell effect kicks in early. Surely Bohs will come back.

I dread the second half, Bohs will have the wind on their side

    2-0. Bohs must be shocking!

    They're ponying my accumulator too.

    Brennan sent off for us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,627 ✭✭✭Lawrence1895

Shels are quite lucky so far, I suppose...but we had some 'harsh' sending offs as well

Nasty challenge. Went in hard with studs up.

Conditions dreadful here. Wind has blown two of our corners straight out of play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,627 ✭✭✭Lawrence1895

Derry 2:1 up as well at HT, that's a big favour for Shels, should it stay like that :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,580 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Neither can I! Oriel Park was hopping this evening. Great night.

If that was a boxing match, the ref would have blown it up. So one-sided.

Jaysus, some very interesting results tonight.

12 points behind the leaders with a game in hand, the title race starts here :P

Anyone who didnt take Dundalk serious are beginning to look a bit foolish now.

A player or 2 added in July and no reason why we wont finish inside the Top 3

You won't find a better goal all season then the Goal at cross.

Goal of the year so far.

Miss of the season in there too. How did they not score I will never know.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

An entertaining enough first half with a very strong win in Rovers' favour which died down at halftime and was replaced by heavy rain. Limerick were very poor in the second half, created a couple of great chances before the goal.

    Another good night for Derry...

Looking forward to seeing this goal. Heard it was a cracker alright.

Gutted with the result at Oriel. Not used to losing.

Get well soon Hano. Some things more important than football!!
