May not be on your end Pat and may be temporary but just a heads up the feed of aircraft departing on runway 10 at DUB either very jumpy or not coming through at all right now (past most reasonable bedtimes).

I think I say a post on the Bray thread but can I ask here, have you added freqs for the air display to the EIDW feed for the weekend?

Am just putting my gear together, deciding on LiveATC or RadioNova

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,098 ✭✭✭Mech1

The freq are in, but I get next to no reception from the Bray area go with Nova.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,098 ✭✭✭Mech1

Im thinning out the Dublin airport freq's to give more airtime to the "other" sources

Due to DublinFlyer moving on to bigger and better things, I think its about time my feed was cleaned up a bit. expect lots of beeps / downtime etc.
Starting now by a full wipe clean of all channels.

I need a bit of help with a list of all current active EIDW freq, so chime in if you know them.

    Thanks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,098 ✭✭✭Mech1

At the moment the only freq in the scanner are the ones listed on the liveatc EIDW page.

If anything else wanted post the freq here.

Im thinking about setting up a second feed at a new location, Monkstown Dublin right on the coast. I wonder if anyone here in that general area has a Airband scanner and could let me know what sort of reception they have of EIDW and also Bray area.

The location is available to me 24hrs a day (i spend at least 8hrs a day there!) and already has broadband and power, so all needed would be another decent quality scanner, laptop and a really decent antenna + good coax cable. (line of sight across the bay to the airport is perfect).

Maybe by this time next year we could cover the airshow the way it deserves and all other times devote the feed to op's, services and poss uk freq.

let me know here or by pm if you wish if you can advise.

edit, im gonna try it anyway advice or not!
