I think we also require live video feed of Mech1's ladder for this to qualify as an epic weather thread... :P:D

Yep.. Not listening to the feed but watching on flight radar... Looked like he abandoned and around 1800 ft. I'm a mile and a half directly from the runway and looking out I can usually see either approach weather depending... Some weather the last 30 minutes...

Slow to respond alright, when the pilots need the info they can give the most. Sounds like Shannon has been deserted for the night.

  • Registered Users Posts: 726 ✭✭✭Shamrock231

I think he meant that EI565 lost Comms with tower.

Shannon and Cork not available for diversion?

Yeah have them again, just EI565 not able to make contact with them. Could be in for another interesting night, like the one that brought you to fame :)

Well ORK has CB in the vicinity, and SNN has no fuel for them to fill up with... You'd wonder if there was no one they could just call in to fuel up the plane, sure they couldn't all live more then 40-50 mins away from SNN...

Is there really no-one in SNN?

565 having a go. Didn't make it during the high winds in April.

Ryanair from Warsaw seems to be coming in over the city, Is that a usual flightpath I always thought flights come in over Drogheda/Navan when landing from the west?

  • Registered Users Posts: 466 ✭✭imfml

He requested to fly south for a right turn in due to thunderstorms to the north

Yeah, seems a strange one allright...maybe they are seeing something on the radar....seems to be a cell near enough to Dunboyne so maybe they are avoiding that?
