    Compared to a mars bar?

    I wouldn't call a mars bar a protein bar though.

    Its a very rare occasion I'd eat a protein bar, this could be the 2nd one ever. Are they all this high in carbs?

    Most are either high in carbs or high in ****e fats. A lot of them are basically mars bars with protein added in. Try quest bars, should be stocked in most supplement shops.

    Ah no, I wouldn't normaly bother with them to be honest. The conscience of having them by tea in work got me though. I'll just eat something else next time.

    Cheers. Not sure I'll bother though. I'm usually one for whole food; meat and eggs for protein.

    I probably should have just drank a pint of milk

    Really depends on the brand, but they're alright.

    Trained in Gold's Gym Venice Beach, CA today.

    It's some set up, every conceivable BB machine, DBs up to 180lbs, outdoor gym etc.

    Weird array of users/members.
    There were a few absolute mutants there, 5'10", 300lbs, shredded, just unreal to see these guys in person.

    Great gym but don't think I'd be a member there if I lived in Santa Monica.

    Have you seen the scene in 'Bigger Faster Stronger' when he goes to Golds? Admittedly he only picks out one person to interview and it was obviously a carefully chosen person but its crazy to see.

    Americans are weird, and by and large, dont get 'it'.

    I don't recommend holding hands with Nervous.... he's one of those 'good touch > bad touch' kind of guys

    Yeah, I've seen it & they are SO weird.

    There are very few normal/regular sized Americans
    They're either in shape or horribly out of shape.

    Strawberry & cream
    Rhubard & custard
    Choc coconut

    They would be my favourites. Tbh most of them are nice bar cinnamon swirl. Can't stand cinnamon.

    EDIT: Choc cherry is nice as well if you like black forest. I think they have a sample bundle now

    Was wondering the same myself there is no mention of cost on the website. I've emailed them asking a few questions waiting to hear back.

    Do you have to order 6 lunches and 6 dinners? I noticed that aswell I wouldn't have an interest in ordering that much really.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,911 ✭✭✭Zombienosh

    Steds = steroids ?
    Haven't seen that before. I'm sure there's a nursery rhyme for wannabe swole kids there;

    PEDs and Steds will make you swole
    But 'roids just give you an itchy hole!

    Someone needs to get the finger out and start organizing another meet up.
    Bagsy not me.

    Would many people be up for another boards meet up?

    Training in a gym somewhere and then out for drinks. I'll organise it if there are a good few up for it.
