    tescos and all spars, dunnes

Ive actually unwittingly taken on the role as a fage ambassador on this forum. I started off giving out about the fage eaters

Also worth noting, I prefer liberte

  • Posts: 0 CMod ✭✭✭✭ Janelle Creamy Crown

Liberte is great i wish they would do a LF version somehow!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,907 ✭✭✭power pants

LF? Does this mean Low fat?

They do 0% as well, its virtually the same nutrional value as fage

500g for 2e most of the time in tescos on sale

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,676 ✭✭✭✭Alf Veedersane

I bought some Fage last week on power pants' recommendation. I was not disappointed.

But Liberté is on sale at €2 a pop in the Tesco near work so I'm all over that.

Try glenisk. Really delish and 15grams of protein in the 150g tubs. Bit pricier mind but that's a daycent amount of protein.

You can get the multipack tubs too which are 10grams per 10g tub.

10 percent protein. That's what I'm trying to say.

Edit: Just saw your picture Alf. Weird. I swore that Liberte was only 6% and I actually checked in the other day in Tesco. My brain is stupid.

It's a pity mixing wine gums through Liberté makes for such a tasty snack.

Met some of the family for lunch in The Counter on Suffolk St, Dublin. I had a 1lb burger, about 10 chicken wings (my sister couldn't eat them) and a sizable portion of chips, onion rings, coleslaw and salad.

Approx 2200 worth of meat in one sitting. If I wasn't out injured, that would be some serious gains

Today's mindf*ck: broccoli, peas and pear.

Turns out it's the opposite of the horrendousness it sounds like.

Baby chefs think outside the box, for realz.

Do you actually eat the stuff? And if so how much and how often?

I'm the taste tester so if something sounds mental I'll taste it.

If it sounds a bit mental but there's an argument for it, I'll observe and taste if it isn't rejected.

If it sounds fine and goes down well, I'll try it out because research.

Had a crap day in the gym today, despite tonnes of rest and good food.

Very related, could my toes pointing excessively outwardly be a contributory factor to my squat plateau?

  • Posts: 0 CMod ✭✭✭✭ Janelle Creamy Crown

    Saw on reddit today...

    • BASE:

    • 1 tbsp chocolate protein powder

    • 2 tbsp ground almonds

    • 2 tsp stevia or other sweetner

    • 1 tbsp meltd coconut oil

    • 1tsp coco powder

    • Blend altogether, then add a teaspoon of water so all ingredients combine. Spoon in to mini moulds & bake for 5 minutes at 180 degrees

    • CHEESECAKE:

    • 1/4 cup cream cheese

    • 1/4 cup greek yoghurt

    • 2 tbsp peanut butter

    • 2 tbsp milk

    • 2 tsp stevia or other sweetner

    • 1 tsp melted coconut oil

    • 1 scoop protein - vanilla, PB or whatever; I used chocolate as it's all I had in.

    • Maple/Caramel flavouring

    • Combine altogether, spoon over cooked & cooled bases then freeze for an hour. While they were freezing, I melted some dark chocolate & made the swirls for the top.

    MACROS: * 90 calories * 5.7g fat * 6.3 carb * 5g protein (macros don't include the melted chocolate on top)

There would be 1 or 2 in every town, not a huge amount of people, but not unheard of.
There would be very few benching over 500lbs. Gimme a few years and you can ad me to the list

    for 1 rep or more?

A lot of people can do 1 rep for 180kg. When I say a lot I mean more than you would expect but probably not a lot as in a million people in irleand being able to

I'd have said it should be locked out with your arms pretty much at 90 degrees to the floor/bench...so over your chest.

His videos are great. Although one time a while back, I checked skullcrusher form from his videos. When I did the exercise using his form in the gym, I had a lad come over and correct me. Apparently if you drop the bar behind your head, it's a french press or something?

Was just talking about it with a few mates, wondering if 180kg is something everyone given the right training can reach or is it beyond what most people are capable of without the use of special muscle sauce.

Man scott herman... i remember his old squat tutorial video, trolls had a field day in the comments. As for the lad correcting you, did he work in the gym or just a random lad?

standing on the balcony with the rug draped over the rail so I could beat all the dust etc from it as I do on a weekly basis

as I was doing this and staring down 4 floors my eyes caught something stuck in the drain, didnt look like it should be there

went down on closer inspection and saw it was a hedgehog

took me ages to lift it out and eventually I did.

Makes you think, had I not been stating at the ground 3 floors up beating my rug, the hedgehog would probably be dead

It was probably only there because you beat it out of the rug.

Hmm, not exactly. He came over and said something along the lines of "if you're trying to do skullcrushers, you shouldn't drop the bar behind your head. Instead....."

He was just a random fella in the gym. He's probably about the same age as me and not even remotely big. I've seen him correct other people before too though so I just assume he gets a kick out of it or something.

You don't have to be big to know what's what but it seemed like a pointless interruption.
