I would like to go topless.

I think it may backfire on me though.

I hope that's not your attitude to working out!

"I'd like to go for a PR but it might backfire on me".

I actually tried this yesterday, had a weird feeling, few points though.

    1. It tastes awful

    8. Got the shakes after it

Do I not like being left with a bent bar for bench or rows!

Quick question - does anyone know if RAW do weekly membership or PAYG?

Won't be able to ask them directly before 7.30 am tomorrow when I'd like to show up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

Drank coffee and coke when I was younger, around 12/13.

Cant remember it tasting that bad.

Hmm, thats a spicy meatball. Will decide in the morning what I'll do. Session in RAW or playground.

Unfortunately moving country otherwise I'd extend membership in a heartbeat.

Lads in Raw sorted me out for a weekly pass this morning

    Will definitely miss the place!

I'm enjoying that my only dilemma at the moment is what to eat on my weekend cheat meal
Sausages/pudding etc - cos I'd like a good sausage, and lidl have a beefy one!
Rice pudding - cos I love it and haven't had it in ages
Chips - to have with the tomato sauce I made

I'm also aware it's only Tuesday but I was thinking about it since I made the sauce on Sunday

Not sure what your macros are like but the above should be easily fittable into most diets. Its not like you're lining up the biscuits and sweets

Beefy sausages, easy depending on the fat content

Rice pudding, make it with coconut milk and mix in protein, one of my go to post training meals.

Chips, cut to size, par boil for 5 mins, give a light coating of coconut oil and salt, but them in the oven at 200.

I tend to have to be perfect to get anywhere with my thyroid, there's nothing hugely wrong with any of these but at the moment they don't fit into my everyday eating.

Rice pudding has to be made the way it was made when I was a child, milky with a nice dollop of strawberry jam.

Dear women of RAW (and other gyms),

Are you aware that the leggings and short shorts you wear go see through when you bend over? And as much as I like looking at vagina and your lower colon, please stop bending over in front of me when I'm in the hole of a front squat!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,433 ✭✭✭Ant11

Spilt tea on myself reading that ^^

Maybe pick a spot a little higher than vagina height and stop spoiling it for everyone else :D

Candidate for dumbest boards comment this year.

Bell is a funny fat dude who was a decent powerlifter.

Klokov is one of the most genetically superior hardcore mother****ers alive.

I just had an image of one of those grainy TMZ type photos of you leaving the gym looking a little dishevelled wearing leggings that were stretched to breaking point....and it wasn't pretty.

I mean...I'd still check out all the photos but I'd be quietly disgusted at myself.

Do I get a prize for that.

Obviously klokov is the better athlete, but I still think bell is pretty cool.

Whats the warm up facilities like at an IDFPA event?
I signed up for the national bench championship next weekend, so I'm wondering do they have a few benches off to the side and is it a mad battle to get to them?

Benching is usually pretty easy to warm up for.

    10-12 people per flight, maximum.

There should be one or two warm up benches.

Everyone just jumps in and out in rotation - 6ish dudes per bench, 15-45s per warm up, 4-8x warm ups/person. 18 minutes = done.

Start "warming up" with rolling/stretching just before the flight ahead of you starts. Then your actual lifting warm ups at the start of the second round of attempts.

Shrinking violets don't get rewarded in the warm up room. Assert yourself, but be sound. Spot and load for your fellow lifters.

This is nice and off topic for the thread.

Recently moved to Vancouver, love it. Moved into a savage place, alas there are 2 idiotic irish girls in the house as well, and every weekend they go wild with people over, drink drugs the lot.

So, my challenge to the fair people of this thread, give me ideas how to shock them into stopping, I don't want to negotiate terms for them to stop, I want to horrify them so they are scared of me, scare tactics work a treat.

One in my mind is, the next time they bring people back after a night out, ill walk out in the nip into the front room, put a tub of vaseline on the table and shout at them to rub it on my back, if you have seen the film Bronson, you will understand this.

    All suggestions are welcome.
