    Hi King,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

We just got a nice little promotion on the new Sony KDL40R473A currently priced at £449.95 / €548.71.  It isn't a smart or 3D TV.  But currently they're giving you a free Sony NSZ-G57 which gives you access to Google Chrome and loads of other features.  Excellent picture quality too.  Check the links below for more info:

    Sony Google Box:

Comes in at the top end of your budget.  It's a cracking deal so well worth a look.

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks Chris.

The Reviews from Amazon on this model aren't great, is it a reality low spec TV?

    KingKong and Eircom Sucks,

Bit harsh on both counts I think to be honest..

We are quoting £449.95 for this Sony INCLUDING the £150 Sony NSZ-GS7 google box - the Amazon link you gave us rates the TV at 4 stars out of 5 - and that's for the TV only priced at £487.49 - that's £37 more than our price EXCLUDING the Google box - if you price it on Amazon including the Google box its £586.58 - £136 more expensive - so you are really comparing apples and oranges.

Eircom - again a bit of a sweeping statement - I'm not a huge Sony fan personally however they do have models out this year that are stronger than for many years and they do bear comparison with the Samsung / Philips / Panasonic traditional picture quality strong-hold - I'm not sure if you have seen the new 805 or 905 ranges but they are actually quite impressive and that's before we start talking about the 65X900 .

The Google Box turns that 473 into a really smart TV!

Anyway thanks for the posts and keep us posted if we can assist,

    ATVB,
