Did anyone see the video of the Spanish train crash?

Shocking speed going into that curve when it derailed

Yep that was a critical failure. But the response looked massive.

I feel sorry for the first responders.

Today I was in boots standing beside my sister and there was a grandmother, her daughter and her grandchild who was taking makeup off the shelf and putting it on the floor and the grandmother (who is about 65) said something like 'stop or else the man will put your mom in jail and ill have to look after you, which is even worse!' :P

Then as she was leaving the shop she says to me and my sister to 'get the pill, quick!' hahaha she was the funniest old lady ive ever met! :pac:

God thats a hateful line. If I ever hear that I'll walk over and I'll tell the child that they shouldnt worry, I'll do nothing and they can do what they want.

Or if I'm in a bad mood I'll tell them that Santa isn't real.

Or walk past the kid and just leave :pac:

Or walk up and say to the mother "I'll take it from here" and see how she or the child reacts

That would actually be typical of places where they get a lot of sun / very high heat tbh.

We were in Tunisia a few years back, swimming at 11 in the morning, blazing sun to the extent that you couldn't lie out in it for more than a few minutes, by 12 the grandfather of all thunderstorms had hit, including about 2" of rain in under an hour, hazy / breezy for a while afterwards, by about 4 we were back to blazing sun again.

Have seen similar in Greece and the Canaries, but that's the one which sticks out in my mind for how fast it blew up and cleared away, and for the sheer constant barrage of thunder and lightening for about 30 minutes, and the rain just hammering off the roofs so that you could barely hear people speak!

Yeah, I have heard of it happening alright, just never ever in Ireland :L I got great entertainment out of it all :P It was a novelty, if nothing else

I was joking. Its just very slow speed broadband.

NUIG wont know what hit it once I get downloading all my games from the Steam Sale.

And the same can be said for prank calls to the emergency services. Why? Whats so funny?

Unfortunately, that kind of thing is common when that runway is in use.

Hoax calls to the Coast Guard increased 40 ****ing fold since 3 years ago when it was put on the 999 emergency services.

Anyone who prank calls an emergency service should be put away

But why do it. Seeing an ambulance drive up and then drive away sounds fierce boring to me.

They often seem to do it so they can then hurl abuse at them.

What abuse can you hurl at a member of the emergency services?
