Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got vdsl installed today, cabinet a nice distance away down the road but says on modem profile that down is 98 and up is 18. Wired speed test gives 92 down and 16 up so more than expected.
Wifi of course gives only 48 but that's never full speed

I created a profile with a target noise ratio of 2dB today.
23915/3943kbit isnt too bad on a 1.5 km phone line.
Hope it will be stable :p

Seem to have very high line attenuation on my upstream - im with eir fiber approx 1km from cabinet.

my downspeed is fine (29mps) but my upload is slow (3mbps)
am i wrong in thinking i should be getting closer to 10mps up ?

Pushing it balls to the wall there. If its stable you're very very lucky.

US Attn as measured by the CPE is very unreliable and not hugely useful diagnostically.

DS Atten would hint its closer to 1.5KM than 1KM in cabling, could that be right? You're barely at the 30 limit and really its pushing things too far. That puts you down at the 25_7 profile but still US would be low. So if 1KM is right, your line has a quality issue. If 1.5 or 1.6KM is correct you probably should be much lower(slower).

    hi thanks for the info,
i am less than 1km from the cabinet. my connection is stable its just my upload that is slow. if the line is an issue is there anything that can be done about it?

Is the modem at the master where KNN installed it with the cable they used? If so its time to call your provider and have them investigate.

Just be straight with them, for your location and downstream speed your upstream is relatively very low. I suspect once they run the standard test battery they'll see a flaw.

1.5~1.6k from the cab - the upload changes between 2.7ish to 3.4ish.

Fairly stable, about once every 2 weeks though it drops out.
