small mp3 player

I am looking for a small mp3 for my mother to play audio books on
She has bad sight so it has to be as simple as possible so I am looking to get something like the iPod Shuffle



but not an Apple device as I am fed up with iTunes and just want a simple drag and drop device
I have the Zen Stone but it won't work on Windows 7 so it is useless now
any ideas or am is my only choice the shuffle?

zip is small but has screen - although it's small so if your mum has very bad eyesight it may be tricky.

Kinda need the screen on the zip and its tiny.

Have you tried Media Monkey with the ipod. Did you try the Vista driver for the stone, installed as admin?

Archos Clipper is similar. Not tried one though. Argos have a Alba simply player too.

Portable CD player might be an option?

Or a cheap clone of an Ipod
