I find the Gutter Book Shop book clubs pretty good

I really like the Classics book club there.

And of course the Dublin Book Crossing group (see post above)

The Gutter – about 6-8 people, the book discussion goes on for just over an hour.
The Book Crossing meetup – about 8-12 people. There is a general literary (sometimes!) discussion. We used to have a Book of the Month, but now we find we have so many books to talk about, it’s hard to stick to just one. There is a Book Crossing meetup this evening, see thread below.

I forgot about www.meetup.com there are a few Dublin-based book clubs there, you have to put your name on a waiting list for some of them.

The Lighthouse Cinema has started a book club/film club, it’s very good.

Recent movies/books have been “To kill a Mockingbird” and “The Great Gatsby”. They have a discussion about the book/movie in the bar afterwards. The next one is “The Witches”, then they’ll probably return to the more grown-up books next month/Autumn.

There is also a Boards book club here somewhere, I went to it a few times.

Well, enjoy whichever one you pick, or all of them (I do!)
