Calm down POM, what happened there?

    Handbags! G'wan O'Mahoney

This is why POM possibly shouldn't be captain.

I think I spotted Ben Hur in there.. ???

    What was that about?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Silly from POM. I had started to think he has eradicated that from his game. Another day, that could have been reversed for the reaction.

    Classic scrum half play.

Most hated player on the pitch!

O'Mahony found a chance to put his angry face on,no real provocation.

Its always annoying when its the 9 because you'll never be able to fibd him at the bottom of a ruck!

Well I don't know what happened, but POC is arguably the best captain in Ireland in a while, and he's not above taking things into his own hands if people do something to him.

POM needs to cut that s*** out while he is captain. If those Canada players didn't grab him he might well have thrown a few

    I love O Mahoney

Canadian 8 just pushed his own ginger Ashton away from kicking off on POM. Teach the kids how its done. lol

    POM should have chinned him

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Looked harsh on first viewing, didn't look like he was "beaten by the ruck" at all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,815 ✭✭✭Burgo

Jays is that Canadian fb is a right carrot top!

Little fcker stamped on him, he should have knocked him out

POM has an uncanny ability to know exactly how far he can go without getting penalised. Its mad

Fair play to him, I don't care about him getting involved so long as it doesn't cost the team.

So bloody frustrating to watch Ireland yet again playing DOWN to the level of the opposition... we should be driving over these Canadians. But we are really really struggling :(

We may want to vary our restarts.....

...... better yet, we may want to stop taking restarts

Every time ferg gets the ball in space I hope for just a second that he is going to try the double chip

I don't know how much of this post is true at all. Considering we've had BOD, Galwey, Wood as captains in the past 10 years as well a POC. We've been blessed with many level headed guys at captain, and even hard as nails guys like Johnson were able to keep their cool on the pitch as captain.

I don't think that it's a black mark against O'Mahoney, but he will absolutely need to iron any sort of rubbish like that out of his own game if he wants to retain the honour at any level.

Nah, the 9 has some right to use his boot. He was just a little bit too aggressive.

    Great try!

I love a good crossfield kick

In fairness, it's about time someone stood up to them, they would be taking pot shots at Ireland all day if they thought they would get away with it . America got away with it.

Love the way Pritchard kicks his goals! So lazy but controlled

I think we can all agree this is already a much better match than last week.

I did say arguably...but having seen all them as captain, I would rank POC as highest. It's a matter of opinion, I guess. But nevertheless

POM is in a position where he's going to get involved in some stuff. And it has never cost us a penalty, or a reversed decision iirc...and I don't think he's ever been sinbinned for that kind of stuff either.

This isn't JCT though, it's professional sport. If the opposition notice they're getting under your skin they'll try to take advantage of it, there were many sarcastic pats on the back for POM after conceding that pen for instance

Blocker was a good bit offside

I'd tend to agree. Whether the ball ultimately went forward or not, there is no way it was a forward pass to me.

Were they celebrating a line break???

Nah, the 9 has some right to use his boot. He was just a little bit too aggressive.

He had to take a step to the right to stamp on his thigh,
