Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why post something that's completley false?

I suspect it hadn't become clear at that point what provoked it. I certainly didn't see the stamp until the replay several minutes later.

I feel that forward pass call is harsh. It is nearly impossible to throw a ball backwards when running at full tilt.

Tom Court is pretty rubbish at the aul scrummaging

That's never a forward pass btw...

So whos going to pull out the IRB Forward Pass YouTube video

This isn't JCT though, it's professional sport. If the opposition notice they're getting under your skin they'll try to take advantage of it, there were many sarcastic pats on the back for POM after conceding that pen for instance

When has POM ever been penalised for habdbags though?

Nothing focuses a pack of forwards better either.

    Savage touchfinder from Madigan there.

O'Donnell's been pretty quiet so far, hope he grows into the match.

Nah, the 9 has some right to use his boot. He was just a little bit too aggressive.

I only saw one replay, but it was a stamp. Thats illegal. Deserving of a yellow.

I thought he was excellent in that last passage of play. Always on the shoulder of the ball-carrier, like a proper 7.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

An inauspicious start but that's far more Schmidt-esque

  • Registered Users Posts: 776 ✭✭✭dtpc191991

Our observer has obviously been observing with gusto by the looks of things. Off loading in the tackle, movement in the backline. I could cry with joy right now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Chabals Beard

POM is running hard, nice little bounce on the hooker

I posted that about 30 seconds before those two carries :o Glad to see him carrying,he offloads fantastically well.

    That's a yellow for stupidity.

    What is that hooker at?

This is a really poor argument ibf.

When has Ashton ever dropped a ball over the line while doing a swan dive?

He hasn't, it still doesn't mean that he should be doing the swan bull****, he should just get over the line and score. Likewise the fact that POM hasn't been penalised for it yet does not mean that he should continue it.

  • Moderators Posts: 1,589 ✭✭✭Big_G

Little baldy hooker lucky not to be killed there.

The naivety/outright stupidity of some of the North American players on this tour has been staggering, the US more so

Line out has been much, much better today.

Fully expect us to miss this one now....

That should be yellow for what was clearly slowing Ireland at breakdown

If he wasnt the half back it probably would have been

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,954 ✭✭✭LeeroyJones

That hooker has to be binned

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

An aul yellow wouldn't go astray

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Gotta be a yellow against hooker!

Boss doing a great job of barking the foul play to officials. One more and someone absolutely has to go.

Hanging out on the wing though, he'll be wearing headphones to the toin coss next :P

wow, criminal not to score there!

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Jesus, was harder not to score a try there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,741 ✭✭✭Piliger

Good retention by Ireland .. we need more of this. Frustrating the Canadians now and they are just doing idiotic fouling. All good signs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Poor from O'Donnell. Should have finished that

Ah lads, can't be not scoring in that position.

  • Moderators Posts: 1,589 ✭✭✭Big_G

Someone needs to get a big stick and talk to the Irish pack about body positions in the maul. Canadians have countered well several times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,225 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    We're butchering these chances.

    grand half of rugby.

Canadians look pretty decent with ball in hand. Just can't compete (legally) at the breakdown though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

This has shades of the Scotland match. Clearly the better team, countless opportunities, most of the possession, some build up play but letting chances slip

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,800 ✭✭✭Tomtom364

Lads the difference an alright ref makes to the enjoyment of watching a game is never to be underestimated again...

He's nothing special, but compared to last week is he near perfection

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,973 ✭✭✭19543261

Headin into the kitchen, anyone want some tea?? Last chance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

12-9...could be more, few silly penalties conceded, couple of chances wasted. Canada aren't bad though, they look lively enough.

Madigan has been excellent, Boss has done well.... McFadden's looked very dangerous in attack, but that missed tackle was embarrassing tbqh. Jones started very well but since he got smashed a few times he's been quieter.

Lineout solid. Scrum good. Back row have all made their mark carrying,

Canada slowing everything down. Game is absolutely made for Downey - give him a running ball and let him punch a few holes.
