Anyone know what the story is, OH came down by Como's heading for the hole in the wall in a taxi, stopped by Gardai, "you will have to walk from here" reason, bla bla, Canadian prime minister in the hole bla bla for a pint?
    G8 or something?

Turns out it was the Canadian PM + Ambassador + entorage in the hole for dinner and pints, Gardai blocked off traffic while they were there, brilliant for Martin and the pub.

Who the feck would be bothered attacking the PM of Canada?jaysus like!

If that's the trouble they went to for some low profile Canadian,it'll be some craic next week when Obama's shag is staying in town.

Guards must be delighted with the OT.

Kildare Street closed for two days during Obama's aul ladys visit apparently, pretty ridiculous.

Could she not just stay in the US residence in the phoeno instead?

Ah, this makes sense for all the security outside the Shelbourne on Thursday!

The security was outside the Shelbourne most of last week, not looking forward to travelling Nassau St the next two days.
