is eircom musichub shutting down at the end of june?

    I can't find any confirmed reports from eircom, but according to this site:

    "Irish ISP Eircom is closing it's music streaming and download service as of June 30th. Indie labels licencing via Merlin were informed in an email this morning. No reason for the closure was given, but Eircom has said it will report and pay royalties for all usage up until closing."

    As it says on that site, Spotify and other streaming services have completely superceded what musichub offers.

    They still have studyhub!

    the point is, if indeed it is shutting down, will Eircom will just yank the plug without giving customers any notice?

    Any reference to Music Hub should be removed from the Menu system on 1901 if it's not going to be there after this month. Maybe it already has but on a call last week it was still talking about Music hub.

    We are in the process of removing MusicHub content across all channels before the 31/07/13 end date.
