Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Generally not as most ex. lease will be trade sales with no warranty.

    Leaseplan do though - http://www.carnext.ie/cn/en/

    Haines fleet do - http://hainesfleet.ie/ex-lease-cars/

Presume they are offering warranty on sales.

good few of leaseplans cars are out as taxis at the moment for global taxis on a loan basis.

so fleet car is actually taxi.

Thanks lads, is it possible to buy one that is going to trade at trade price. If a car has a good service history a 6 month guarantee doesn't add much to it except the price.

legally a motor dealer needs to sell a private individual a car with a warranty, so I doubt you'd get the car at a trade price, but probably cheaper than the normal retail I'd say

I see my recently returned car for sale by Leaseplan : http://www.carnext.ie/13062013.pdf 11D Golf. Wonder what they're looking for it? 161000 km in just over 2 years, FSH (and by that I mean it was into VW every 6months) New clutch and flywheel gone into it in Feb this year, apart from that nothing else went wrong. Belts probably due soon though?

A service every 40k km is full service history on a diesel Golf?

And it's out on sale already.. http://www.carzone.ie/search/Volkswagen/Golf/2.0-TDI-/37113716444282760/advert?channel=CARS

I see they've 'edited' the mileage slightly, it went back to the leasing co. with over 161,000km on it as per : http://www.carnext.ie/13062013.pdf

Probably under-stated the mileage slightly so it wouldn't get excluded from search results with a limit of 100k miles.

That would be my thinking also, I wasn't suggesting any impropriety.

Typically driven by reps. A lot of commercial driving. High mileage. Be care that you get a good car. Use a trustworthy mechanic to examine car prior to purchase. No warranty maybe! Many low mileage seconds hands in garages close to Dublin City! Buying anything second hand always carries risk! Good luck!
