Off to Italy with hubby and the 3 kids, first 'sunshine' holiday in 4 years, can't wait! Took the eldest 2 away on a weekend break in April to Belgium. Had a ball.

Got to go to most of the North East of the US for work. During cold, grey and rainy times unfortunately and didn't have too much time to see things due to work.

I'm thinking of going to Portland, Oregon and driving up to Vancouver. There's some cool looking forsts in Oregon, Seattle and Vancouver look cool and there's a cool looking Safari outside of Seattle. Will be doing it alone, that's the only kicker...

Just back from two weeks in Turkey. My best friend got married out there so it was a very special holiday.

I live in London, so every time I go home to Cork feels like a holiday too. :)

off to Long Beach, Moorea (French Polynesia) and Rarotonga (Cook Islands)

    Honeymooooooon

will hopefully be snorkelling with humpback whales in Moorea, will definitely be swimming with Dolphins and will be feeding Sharks and Rays.

Moorea is between Bora Bora and Tahiti (couldn't afford either and they are rumoured to be a bit snooty)

Barbados is a hell of a lot more expensive than Puerto Rico though.

We're taking the urchins camping in France, like we do every year. Heading further south than usual though. Phew, crazy times.

He means (Puerto Rico) de Gran Canaria I'd say.

Take me with you! Love it over there although I nearly drowned white water rafting in Oregon when I was 15 I would go back in a flash.

So jealous. Love the rockies. If you get the chance go to the Okanogan Valley and just rob loads of peaches off the trees. Delicious!

I can't afford much this year. Went to San Francisco and Vegas last year coz my boyfriend won a trip there and my brother is getting married in Thailand in about 18 months so have to save for that. Hoping when I get over there to spend a few weeks and travel around Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore too so will need big bucks as will be paying for my sons to go too.

My parents, my brother, his fiance, my 2 sons and I are all heading to Edinburgh in July for 3 nights for my little sister's graduation so am looking forward to that. Also thinking about heading somewhere in Ireland for a few days but thats about the height of my adventures for this year. :(

So far this year I've been to Kerry over the Easter break, France for 5 nights, Sweden and Denmark for a long weekend, Dublin for a week.

One night in Cambridge, UK in July.

Going again to Dublin in July for a long weekend.

Will go to Kerry for 4 nights in August.

Then doing Madrid and Argentina for 2 weeks in November.

Will probably fit another weekend or two away in there somewhere.

Some very un-imaginative travellers here, going to Spain? Once was enough for me ever to be caught there. Those package tours around Europe are such a waste, same old crap and other than some sunshine totally waste of time.

I'm currently in Thailand on a 5 week break to South East Asia, and will hop over to the Philippines soon too for some of their fantastic beaches. I travel long haul and the best thing is I have practically managed to avoid Irish people here thus far. I usually clock up 30-50k airmailes a year for leisure alone. And for those holidaying in Ireland I offer you my sympathies.

    Independent from Malta?

Yeah when I was there 2/3 years ago, we rented a car and got the ferry to Gozo. I remember the tour guide telling us that Gozo would like to be separate from Malta..
To anyone going to Italy (around the Rome area) I highly suggest a town called Terracina, its about 100km south of Rome towards Naples. Absolutely beautiful. Palms trees, nice beaches, nice views although a bit on the expensive side.
Makes you wonder what Ireland would have been like if we were located 1/200km further south than we actually are :(
