Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,
My nonEU better half is applying for de facto with me, but she has some concerns about assets that are hers at home etc...

Does de facto entitle one party to anothers assets?
    Thank you!!

This thread states that the duration of the relationship if one parter is Irish (me), and one is non EEA(her) is two years? Is this correct? I thought it was always 3 years??

The required duration of the relationship is two years in the case of a person who is the partner of an Irish/EEA national and four years where the partners are both non EEA nationals.

No, it just gives your non-EU partner the right to remain & work in Ireland for as long as your relationship continues & for as long as her authorisation documentation is valid (usually renewable every 12 months).
