It really depends what kind of cover you want and how much your willing to spend.
Look into Personal Accident Cover if your looking to cover fractures, dislocations and hospitalisation from an accident. A Home Contents Policy will suffice if your a tenant looking to cover sports equipment inside and outside your home.

...is a ripoff. I used to have a policy for years (worst money I ever spent. The only reason I bought it was that I vaguely knew the girl selling it and I fancied her and wanted an excuse to talk to her! I didn't even get a snog!); about €12 per month and it offered you €100 a day if you were hospitalised by an accident. However, even if you break a leg, you're not likely to be able to claim for more than a couple of days. Put the premium in a jar each month. Take it out if you end up in hospital. If you don't end up in hospital, enjoy the benefit of a few hundred euro when you retire from rugby etc.
