    so i have a ****load of repeats to do. have to repeat a number of modules and labs. got 38% in one of my labs and literally have to go back just because of 2%.

    i'm doing a general science course and in year 2 i get to specialise. i was thinking of just transferring into a different degree programme that is similar to what i wanted to specialise in. would i be allowed since i failed first year? so my question is, would you just repeat or transfer? repeating is less work, but it's competitive so i won't be guaranteed a place. that's my dilemma. hope you get what i mean, i'm bad at explaining. :D

    If you start a new course you will most likely not get a grant or have your fees paid by the government. If you got above 35% in any of your subjects the first thing i would do would be to find out if i can appeal to the exam boards (Your students union will know if you can still do this). Failing that the 2nd thing i would do is apply to carry a module into the next year this may not be possible for all modules due to the fact that you have so many to repeat.

    Talk to your students union (Thats if you haven't already done so) the last thing i would do is start a new course fresh, unless the subject is beyond your motivational or academic aptitude.
