Punters must love Richard Hughes. He tells everybody that Toronado would win the 2000 Guineas, and then says he doesn't think Sky Lantern will win the Coronation because of the draw.

Slattsy you laughed at me the last day when Hillstar was beat when I said despite being beaten he still should have been.shorter.

I've been raving on about him since his debut, fancied him in a weak derby, still think he would have ran a big race.

And now i hope your laughing all the way to the bank.
    But i did have a point :P

Not sure I agree that BOM doesn't stay, he is as slow as a boat, if anything I'd like him over a Leger trip

    He's just not that good.

Still disagree, a horse can be beaten and still be over priced

I was very keen to take him on for the Derby but his form has stood up with Sugar Boy particularly but still don't think he wants less than 12 feelings

I've a feeling he needs softer ground than what it was today, he def changed his legs.

Sky lanterns win. Another example of form beating hype. Welds horse got the run of the race and still wasn't good enough!

Small bet on Sheikh something or other here.

He's perhaps one of those horses that was fairly mature already and who is coming back to the now maturing pack. He does stay, but he didn't improve for stepping up in trip and that's in line with his pedigree which is light enough on stamina..

For a horse whose dam is by a splinter he looks very one paced. Ballydoyle have a poor enough crowd of three year olds i think apart from Magician despite having the Derby winner too

Just the one bet tomorrow for me so far.
    2pt Win Forgotten Voice, 14/1
Johnny Murtagh / Nicky Henderson combination.
Will look more closely at the other cards once more to see if I fancy anything else.

    Nice pick. Well done

There is no food on the plate. Fridge is bare. No petrol in the car. Clothes looking a bit tatty.

Royal Skies form ok, was a NR yesterday in the Gold Cup. If he's considered good enough for that, he'll do for me in the Group 3. De Sousa had a horror in the last race so I'm not brimming with confidence but have backed him ew.

Missed the break , stopped in tracks when trying to pull out. Unable to respond quickly after being stoped.
Got going too late , flying at finish, probably the best horse in the race at the weights.

Royal Skies is a 3YO. The Gold Cup is for 4YO's and upwards. He could never have been entered in the Gold Cup

Stayed on well. Disclaimer travelled like the best horse in the race and was cantering coming round the final bend but pulled too hard and also didn't stay. The winner is a gold cup horse and with the stayers this year not up too much Leading Light will be a big player next year imo.

Stuck 1pt win on Hughes horse in the last. 20/1 on Betfair and im hopeful he will outrun those odds

that's reason enough for me in this minefield of a race
    ew at 33s
bertiewhittle to win at 14s also

twin plan cost me last time when i thought it was a good thing
staying away despite the very nice looking 7/14

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 83 ✭✭rockycelt

Took a small ew on Twin Plan. no money come for it yet, so took the 6/1

Had a bit e-way on two in this one.

    Lightning Cloud & Nassau Storm

If somebody gave me a tenner to have a bet in this race, I'd stick the tenner in my pocket instead.
