Hi I would be grateful of your opinions on what I should do next when I meet the dealer. I bought a 308 peugoet back in November since then I have had her back in the garage 5 times for the same problem the partical emissions filter waring lights on.. Each time I was promised a replacement car for when I got there but when I arrived all the cars were out:eek:.. I was left sitting 2 hours while they fixed the car but each time i'v took the car back the lights have shown up again within a month.

I took out an extra 18 months warranty thank god but at the min I am worries the this problem will carry on when the warrenty is out and I could not afford to keep taking it back to the garage.

I would love to give them the car back with losses from millage etc .. Its just I don't trust this car no more and want to know if I would have a leg to stand on in regards to handing it back.. I only had the car a week when the problem first started:(..

Thanks soo much in advance for any advice!!

Do you give it a decent drive regularly, or is it just for popping to the shops and pottering around town in?

I drive a 40 mile drive at least once a week

Should be enough to do a regen on the DPF then, as long as it's up the revs a bit for a good 10 minutes or so.

Give the dealer one last chance. Tell the service manager when you drop it in next time that if it happens again you will be rejecting the vehicle and asking for your money back. Confirm this in writing to the dealer principle, and send the same letter to Peugeot Ireland.

Someone should fix it properly then, or at least know you are serious about rejecting the car.

Thanks loads ROR for the info didn't know I could reject the car, I have her booked in again for this Sat should I send a letter stating that with me this time. It really has taken all the goodness out off buying the car starting to hate it.. Worst part is I've over 80 miles to drive each way to garage:(.. thanks lots again for your help!! As I've no idea how to deal with these guys

If she's already booked in, then might be worth sending a letter to the dealer principle.

State what has happened so far, how disappointed you are with the service so far, and how this their final chance to fix it once and for all. Ask them to confirm there will be a vehicle available for you to use while they have your 308. They may need to keep it for a while to make sure it's fully sorted.

Send the same letter to the customer car department in Peugeot Ireland.
