Missus has a 08 Citroen C5 1.6HDi which is now due a full service.

Citroen are offering it at €249 as per http://www.citroenoffers.ie/repository/servicing-4-years-document.pdf Is this worthwhile, or can someone recommend a garage in the midlands who specialise in Citroens? I suspect one of the front shocks also needs doing, assume main dealer won't come cheap for that?

If you want to stick with a main dealer then i'd be thinking of Hugo looman in cloghan in offaly....he's sound.
Its no harm in giving him a call to get a price on the service.

What makes you think the front shocks need replacement..?

It's her car and I don't drive it too often. Took it today, clonking noise coming from front passenger side. Haven't gotten to have a proper look at it yet.

Loonams or Keenan Bauer in Mullingar would be closest Citroen garages to me. .

The Clonking noise could be a worn drop link,
Whoever carries out the service insure they use 5w 30 fully syn low saps/low ash oil.
Also Note the service intervals should be 15k kms not the 20k km that's displayed on your instrument panel after a service.
if your getting it serviced in a citroen garage get them to change this back 15k kms instead of 20k kms...:)

    Sound...you know the drill...:)
If yours has the older type ball joint then theres a good chance this is causing your Clonking noise..check for rust around the lower balljoint.
