    Has to be the Chianti bottles with the straw around them , preferably empty with candles in them as well.


    spaghetti carbonara ? Very popular around then.

    Tiramisu . I remember adverts from that era with this

    Trouble is , Real Italian food is pretty timeless in it's simplicity.
