We actually have known the sale is on the 11th for about 3 weeks now. The guys on the steam forums called it a while ago, and they get it right every year basically. Im guessing some steam employee's must post there under regular accounts.

Possibly, but I wouldn't go redeeming ANY keys from generators as it could possibly lead to a one way ticket to banhammer city.

go to your steam inventory, and sell everything in the TF2 folder, you can sell trading cards too, but they're handy if you want to increase your steam level. The higher your level the (slightly) more chance you have of receiving booster packs from steam.

also when you use the full card set to make a badge, you get coupons for games and other goodies.

Iv made just over €10 selling trading cards. Might try and sell my tf2 stuff now too. It all helps especially with a sale coming up.

Sold 26 TF2 items overnight, and I'm up €29.48 Mostly paints and tags that I've had sitting around for years. Valve would have gotten a healthy cut on top of that also, they might as well be printing money.
