Times like this I'm kinda happy my laptop can't run some newer games, otherwise I'd have spent a lot more by now

Yep, Tomb Raider was giving me that look but I said not today, not today.

    How so

    Briefly,
It's against Amazon's terms of use. The product they're selling you is intended for US based customers only.
Amazon are meant to charge VAT on the sale of items to you as in you're in Europe. It's not doing so. It could possibly be construed as you providing false information to them to get around sales tax.

Aye, not something they'd ever attempt to stop unless they were requested to. Similar to everyone using proxies and DNS servers to access other Netflix areas. The companies are still making money so no incentive to stop it unless they have to.

You do realise that buying from Amazon that way is technically illegal?

It's not illegal. It may go against amazon's terms and conditions but it's not like amazon actively enforce them. If amazon were so inclined they could easily stop non US citizens from purchasing digital games but they don't want to. Steam likewise have no issue with Europeans picking up games on amazon and redeeming them through Steam. There is absolutely nothing illegal about any of it.

I wouldn't expect it to drop lower on Steam.

Is that just the original game + expansion in HD resolution?

Well I also had the high res mod installed which makes it a lot more stressful on your gpu but I was still getting 60fps on max settings

    1. Click here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/8000/?cc=us
    2. Go to pay and it'll say there's an error in Steam Wallet currency (if you have any funds there).
    3. Change to alternative form of payment like Paypal.
    4. Buy the game.

Edit: I should point out that doing this is against Steams TOS and should be done at your own risk.

It becomes even more irresistible when you see Tomb Raider (2013) is 12.49, but for an extra 5 euro you can get the entire Tomb Raider catalogue including the 2013 one... I mean, you would just have to buy them all wouldn't you? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,006 ✭✭✭✭titan18

Aye, everyone should get The Witcher 2, don't need to play the first one to get into the story, and has excellent replay-ability.

Hmm... the temptation of impulse buys is getting to me

    Tomb Raide
    The Last Remnant
    Witcher 2

    ...should I?

Must hold. Dishonored first then Tomb Raider series then Witcher 2.
