Cashing/Lodgin cheques (AIB)

Hi, first off me and my employer both use the same branch and bank (AIB). 1. I lodged a cheque into my account on Monday at about 1.30pm, would that be in my account tomorrow (Saturday)? 2. Can I cash a cheque on the spot tomorrow? Thanks Edit** lodging (in title, can't edit that apparently)
