Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know where i can get the measurements for the width of standard vehicles. I'm interested in the width of buses?

The standard width of most buses (be it a coach or an urban bus) is 2.55 meters while cars can be anything over 1.5 meters wide. It all depends on the type of body a car has (be it hatchback, saloon or estate). The width of cars can vary considerably. I'm pretty sure that many trucks are the same width (i.e. 2.55 meters) as buses especially, articulated ones. Smaller non-articulated ones may be narrower (my guess would be 2 meters). Anyway, there's a bit of food (fuel...pardon the pun:D!) for thought!

Pre metric, standard bus widths were 7 foot 6 inch (pre WWII) and 8 foot (introduced gradually late 40s / early 50s)

Note that when you add mirrors, buses and trucks can easily be 3.1m
