Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Turning onto the main road, 2 lanes to 2 lanes + bus lane

It is pretty straightforward. The black car should be in the lane closest to the bus lane, or the bus lane if they are a taxi/bus. Anyone turning from the rightmost lane would end up in the lane closest to the central reservation.

Thanks. That's what we did - we turned into the middle lane as we always do. However there was a car beside us in the rightmost lane and it turned into the middle lane also, cutting in front of us. We also got beeped at from behind as if someone expected us to turn into the bus lane (not caused by us braking as we weren't going very fast and didn't have to brake for the car in front)... so just wanted to pick someone's brains as to whether we could have missed something if there were two reactions different to ours?

Or perhaps the car behind us was beeping at the car in front... LOL

I use this lane all the time when I'm in Dublin as my brother lives up in Roebuck. You did the correct thing. The other person probably went too wide in the turn and headed for the first of the driving lanes which is wrong unless they indicated. THey should have been apologising rather than beeping.
