Ah that's terrible bad luck crashing hope he recovers quickly and think its great he is already thinking about next year best of luck with it.

Hopefully I can convince him to do it Nxt year but right now he doesent want to stress the family out again.
Ironman Austria have assured me he will have a free entry as they made an error on not contacting me.

It was amazing watching the irish on race day & seeing the flags:-)

    Hi All,

I have signed up for IM Austria 2015. Anyone know whats the story with accomodation ?

I went onto booking.com and pretty much everything seems to be bbooke dout already ? Surely not ?

Are there any towns or nearby places just as nice that you can stay in ?

Really hoping it is a wetsuit swim ?

Just seen on FB that IM Austria 2015 is nearly full so there's a good chance that people have booked up accommodation too.

Yup, things book up very quick. I booked my hotel the same day I entered last year. With booking.com there's free cancellation so you can always book and then cancel for free. My other half doesn't drive so we had to stay in the town. If you have cars then you have more flexibility.

Nice work NT. Sounds like a perfect race.

BTW, there's another race report by the Paul in your story here for anyone looking for reading material...
