Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

named driver vs own policy Discounts

    Hello people,

I have received a proposal for renewal from Aviva/One direct along with a Statement of No claims Bonus. That statement specifies that I reached Stage 5 out of 5 with a 50% discount meaning to me that I can't reach any higher discount.
However underneath there is written ''to confirm that the above named insured is entitled to a 50% No Claims Discount on vehicle XXX as at 2jun representing stage 5 on our No Claim Discount scale**'' then it adds **the actual number of years claims-free on this policy are 0 (meaning, as far as i understand, i gained all that on being in a named insurance from my fiancee for 5 years). Now I have already got 1 full year NCB by having my own insurance and i want to shop around.

My question is would you, when quoting online, type in 1 year as NCB or 5 (since the statement states 50% discount)????? My logics says I'd need to type in 1 year but then I am afraid they do not take in consideration all those years.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you!
