Hey my friends are opening a corner shop and need a business plan to secure finance. Any one know of a good template for a small business. I looked online but most are way to detailed or else for the wrong industry.

Do they have a lot of experience in running a business, specifically a corner shop ?

For a convenience retail application they will probably find that the bank will actually be more interested in the candidate themselves and their background and history, than in what the candidate has written down on paper.

How much finance do they need ?

Enterprise Ireland and DCEB have good templates.

Theres a reason those plans are detailed though

Lots of stuff here that might help them including a number of sample business plans.

    Fuhgeddaboudit.

If, by corner shop, you mean the one that sells the milk and the bread and the papers and the sweets and the smokes, you won't get a loan from a bank.

Many people with decades of experience in the business have gone to the wall in the last few years. Banks don't want to deal, unless the proposer is a well known customer with a proven track record (and tons of security that's actually worth something) ... and even then ...
