Its tricky, some places want top dollar and most wouldn't even come back to us.

No lack of business in the hotel sector then, bloody gathering.

I am sure that the bigger ones are doing just fine.
we have a few options and it will take place.

We could disguise them as tobacco shops. Just put a load of perfectly legal cigarettes, cigars and pipes in the window and no one will ever suspect that there's a bunch of dodgy vapers inside vaping away.

Does anyone else think the logo could be a bit better? That might just be me. I really think it gives off a poor impression though.

Have to say I agree, unless it's being sponsored by the Gathering maybe?
    :pac:

Well thats the challenge set then! Who's a photoshop/illustrator genius?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

StickyIcky and awatch are the resident graphic nerds I think.

agreed moshi, if anyone can pump out a couple reworked ones that would be much appreciated. Website will be reworked but time is short right now. i.e. the header separated and made more clear, Font changes and the lost "2013" rehomed to fit the new style.
Also menus and layout changes are coming.
Please keep feedback coming and any resources if you have please.
Priority was first to get this organised and a half acceptable web presence.

You mean the website header i assume? if Yes i agree. work in progress!

    Thanks guys

Edit: Please pm me if you got any logo, header, graphic suggestions or samples, we need a couple of posters etc to be done and parts for the site itself, ideally psd format. thanks so much guys!

Will there be discounted room rates ?
Anyone else staying like last year

  • Registered Users Posts: 328 ✭✭Stefan_Cork

Im afraid no discounts for no one this year, new management in place.
From what i read here and on FB there is a lot or people staying again and its almost same gang as last year.
I wonder how long it will take to be booked out, cant be far.

Pondering on this. Never been to one before. I'd be like, the total n00b. But I don't mind that. It would be interesting I think.

Wish it was somewhere else. Abbeyleix was difficult to get to for a number of people last year. I got a train to Port Laoise and then payed a taxi about €25 to get to Abbeyleix and another €25 back. People from the North were telling me it was an awful drive too. It's not very central at all. Athlone would be better if you wanted somewhere central and easy to get too. I'd like to go but it's just too much hassle getting there and it's going to be a cold November day too.
