Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Falatau will be annoyed that he didn't get there though!

    Murray!

Murray getting there quickly and getting it away quickly, looks a much better player at this tempo.

Get in there, lovely finish by Murray.

Very glad for him. Definitely one of the success stories of the Lions so far, unbeknownst to Gatland it seems.

    Nice turn by Murray.

Great work from Murray there, try Lions

So, SOB and Murray having a good game so far?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Well done, CM. They nearly made an utter hash of it. Faletau seemed to leave the ball for Murray and then, as Murray began to go for it, nudged it on again and went himself. Bit of communication issue but very nicely recovered by Murray.

Yeah, Farrell and Tuilagi going okay too. Kearney looking for work.

Lineout a disaster so far, Gray not going great at all

Barnes doesn't seem to be a fan of Murray at all.

Murray has been very quick to the breakdown and looks sharp.

SOB is everywhere, turnovers, 2 lineout catches, carrying well in the loose. As you'd expect really.

    Lineout is poor.

Really great turnover from Faletau there

Faleteau has two turn overs at this stage.. Playing well

I think we kind of take POC's lineout work for granted.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,151 ✭✭✭✭JRant

TF is putting in a good display so far.

if he finishes as strongly as he's started he'll be putting Heaslip's position under serious pressure.

Irish lads linking well but just not clicking perfectly. Zebo busy again but being shackled well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

SOB and Zebo just can't connect. That's two passes in a row between them that have led to turnovers

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 537 ✭✭✭Bogota

Gray has been awful so far. Ditto Hibbard.

SOB pinged... It's those silly penalties that cost him

Can't see Heaslip being dropped regardless of how TF goes today, to be honest. JH was one of the stand outs the other day in a massive test match. TF has started brilliantly here but it's against a weakened Melbourne Rebels that have won 4 games from 15 this season.

Only hope for any changes for the weekend will be to people who went badly in the first test.

SOB conceded a soft penalty. That's going to be a big black mark against him considering the focus on the penalty count the other day.

was he not the tackler there?

(recalling discussion on Genia standing up)

    Very close imo

    Melbourne Rebels
Probably only reason O'Brien not starting the tests :(

What was the problem with the SOB turnover? There was no ruck, how can he be on the wrong side?

Murray strong under the high ball there.

Manu just generally really very strong.

Barnes doesn't seem to be a fan of Murray at all.

He did say he's another great scrum half the Lions have.

Very good by Tuilagi and Maitland

Murray strong under the high ball there.

Not a mention of it in the commentary. :/

    Toby slipping there big time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,013 ✭✭✭MattD

Maitland has been going well so far here, easily the best out of the back 3... The bastard...

Sure will, certainly putting his hand up so far.

Great pass from Tuilagi and super pace from Maitland.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Great try. Maitland did well twice, putting himself in good place for the 23 jersey again.

Hopefully, Tuilagi will get a run at 12 for a spell. Barritt going very well too though.

Good try, Maitland is playing well it has to be said, outshining Zebo so far

Absolutely, nobody formed a ruck, player placed ball to him
