Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Also goes by teams they are tied to so clashes in TV dont happen, i guess Dormund and Munich could not be in the same side of the draw for German TV

    Cheers. Never thought of that.

Why couldn't Leverkusen have gone into Arsenal and Marseille group?
Why was United's group the only one open to them?

Leverkusen were paired with Schalke which means they can't play on the same night, and Schalke were already on the (E-H) side of the draw, so they had to be either A, B, C, or D. Bayern were already in D so that eliminated that group and teams were already drawn into B and C.

City were always going to have it tough coming from pot 3. Given that they got CSKA from pot 2, they actually did ok

    True.

At least 3 cracking trips out of it, instead of the end of Europe.

This has probably been covered already but can someone explain to me why Borussia were seeded so low?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

The same reason as City. Both in pot 3. You have to be consistent to get a good coefficient.

Haven't been performing well in Europe in the last 5years. I think they didn't even qualify 1/2 of the years so their coefficient is low

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Pretty decent outcome for City, should qualify.

Seeding calculated based on the club's results in Europe over the last 5 seasons
