Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Roaming iPad

For the last 10 months I've been using my iPad on WiFi at home. As we are about to go camping I looked for a mobile broadband option and picked 3Broadband Light 1 GB for 7.99 pm. So far so good.

Later this year we plan to go to Spain and, belatedly, discovered 3 doesn't have data roaming there and it will cost 86c per MB. Did a ~15 minute Facetime chat yesterday [at home] using 3 and it used 45 MB. So that chat from Spain would have been 13 euro.

    Am I wrong? Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

Get a local prepaid data only sim. I believe orange Spain have a great deal.

    Agree with 3DataModem.

Do some research on the different companies before you go including which have the best coverage for where you are camping and then when you arrive in the airport pick up a pay as you go sim for your iPad. This will work out far cheaper than roaming even if you throw the sim away at the end of the holiday.

To clarify, Three does have data roaming with Spain, therefore it will cost you.

Don't do it. Get a local SIM.
