So apparently, Sunday just gone (23 June) was Bonfire Night, something to do with St John The Baptist. Had never or seen or heard of it before around this time of year, until I seen a few being built and lit around Sligo Town. its big down our way.
loved it as a kid, sitting on the ditch, drinking soda pop, watching it all burn!

then looking into the distance to see what other smoke plumes your can spot around the locality.

it was always on the 23rd of june down our way. and have just been invited to one tonight, so ill bring the kids over for a look!
